Today I stepped out into the garden and noticed that my garden is fully in bloom which lead me to thinking about how I have yet to share swatches and a review of the new China Glaze Avant Garden polishes. Oh how the mind works in weird and mysterious ways!
The China Glaze Avant Garden collection has been split into two categories : Blooming Brights - the bright shades and Pretty Petals - the pastel shades, all in there is twelve shades to collect or pick and choose from.
I have four to share, I did have five but I dropped Keep Calm, Paint On which was a mediocre mint green that looks much better in the press images than on my nails.
China Glaze Pink-ie Promise* - Normally I am not a fan of pink nail polishes unless it is of the neon variety but I have to admit that the light milky tones of this mauve pink have me firmly in their grasp. I have been overusing the term grown up at the moment but said sentiment sums this polish up perfectly - a grown up but rather pretty pink oh and it is fully opaque in two coats.
China Glaze Fade Into Hue* - Normally I am a sucker for cornflower blue polishes but I find that Fade Into Hue leans a little too lilac for my personal taste. The formula is also a little off with it being rather streaky and requiring at least three coats to become even and opaque...unlike my swatch haha! China Glaze do plenty of similar shades so check those out over this cornflower.
China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's - If you like bright orange based coral's then this one is for you and in my opinion it is a winning shade for the summer. China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's is bright yet not neon and a lovely shade to team with a tan. For full coverage this required two coats.
China Glaze Sunday Funday - Don't judge me but I may have bought this polish in homage to my blog...vain or what? Oddly I loathed this shade when it arrived as it looks rather dull in the bottle and nothing special yet on the nails it becomes a bright electric blue that again is a great choice for summer. If you like blue nail polishes like I do then put this on your wishlist asap! To become fully opaque it again required two coats.
On the whole I have found the China Glaze Avant Garden Collection to be a winning combination of great shades and formulas and do really rate Pink-ie Promise is you are looking for a slightly different shade from the norm.
You can find the China Glaze Avant Garden Collection from Entity Beauty for £6.99 each -link

Random Fact - The Mimosa Tree also known as the silk tree, is a fast-growing, deciduous tree with a life span of 10 to 20 years.
Mimosa's Before Mani's looks lovely.
