I'll be the first to admit it has taken me a long while to get to grips with nail wraps and even then I still have a long way to go before my application is perfect.
However I couldn't not share the ncLA I Don't Play Nice Nail Wraps - a little bit Rihanna, a little dash of Versace and a whole lotta cool designed by the beyond cool jewellery and accessories designer that is Melody Ehsani.
Okay here is what I like about nail wraps they are fairly quick and easy way to create funky nail art. I find that if you skip the recommend clear coat of nail polish before application they stick to the nails better but I do recommend applying a top coat once you have finished applying your wraps that way you can easily get upwards of a weeks wear.
Now on to what I don't like. I can never and I mean never get my wraps to apply without creases, it doesn't matter how firmly I smooth the wrap down I'm always guaranteed a rumple or two. Luckily with the I don't play nice design said creases go unnoticed unless you are up-close and personal but my goodness does the bumps and lumps drive me loopy. Saying that I have found that the closer to size your nail is to the wrap the smoother the application will be.
All that said I am rather enamored by the ncLa I don't Play Nice design and have now had the various big cats, teeth and pure sleezy 80's designs on my nails for three days and they are going strong.
With nail wraps it seems to be very much a case of you get what you pay for and I don't think you can go much wrong with the ncLA offerings.

These are such cool nail wraps, really want some! The only problem is that they're quite expensive for something that won't last very long, but I'm still very tempted

They look very cool, I've got some funky nailgirls ones to try out but I've just broke my pinky nail right down and I'm raging about it x

RE the application, what you need to do to stop the kinks is apply just to the base of your nail bed (where the moon is) and once that's secure stretch towards the tip as you are smoothing it along the rest of the nail (these stretch easily without the worry of breaking).
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with NCLA at the moment.
