As you may be aware MUA have just launched a good few new products as well as re-packaging others.
Along with the MUA Undress Me Too palette the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter really caught my eye, admittedly I need another highlighter like I do a hole in the head but at £3 I can't be too hard on myself for caving.
MUA will never win prizes for their packaging style but as they are a budget brand all you can really ask is that it doesn't look too cheap and most importantly it protects the item held within.
The MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter comes presented within a round white and transparent compact which I much prefer over their older items - black and transparent packaging.
Aesthetics aside it survived an impromptu drop test...my knee not so much so I can vouch that the packaging is nicely constructed and should be fine in an everyday make-up bag where knocks and drops are inevitable.
The first thing that will strike most about the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter is the intricate design engraved upon the product surface. Does it remind you of anything? Yup it is eerily similar to MAC's Whisper of Gilt Extra Dimension Skin Finish -review link from the shade all the way through to the design.
I would deem MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter as a cool pink tinged beige shade that does apply slightly cooler and paler in tone that it appears in the pan.
Like most highlighting products this is fairly universal and will depend on preference rather than skin tone when it comes to purchasing it or not, pushed i'd say this would look best on paler and cooler skin tones than others.
Sadly I did not find that the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter quite lived up to the same standards as the MAC version but perhaps it is a little unkind of me to compare them giving the huge price difference? On the skin MUA Undress Your Skin is extremely subtle and gives a light luminescent oyster shell pink shade that is not metallic but not totally shimmer based either - it sort of nestles between the two finishes. Although a little firm and dry in texture with not the best pigmentation this highlighter is perfect for all those like myself who prefer a subtle glow rather than a product jam packed with glitter/shimmer particles.
This is the perfect choice for all those with enlarged pores and fine lines as the shimmer is so fine it does not cling or emphasize such imperfections.

I love MUA, you can't really go wrong :) I think I might grab this to pop in my bag, that way if It does break it wont be quite so heartbreaking as a MAC one, I love the design though :) x

I bought this the other day and I adore it. I never usually highlight for work because I don't want to waste products like Touche Eclat on a dim supermarket but I've been using this every single day even at work and I adore it! Its so subtle and beautiful - I might stock up in case it sells out!
