E.L.F HD Blush in Superstar Photo

A little over a week ago E.L.F after famously stating there would be no more 50% codes did the polar opposite and not for the first time, not that I am complaining half price goodies are never to be sniffed at.
I of course placed an order which was actually my first ever (in the past the very few E.L.F products I featured were samples) and made a bee line for the E.L.F HD Blushes.
When there is a huge sale stocks of well everything dwindle rather quickly and I was only able to order E.L.F HD Blush in Superstar, which I somehow stupidly bought two off...same shade etc.

To my eye the packaging is very akin to that of the Make Up Forever HD Blushes, a small black and transparent tube that has a built in pump for ease of use.
And easy it is, to use I simple pump the a small amount of blush onto the back of my hand and depending on my mood I either stipple on with a brush or blend with my fingertips.
I find it is easier to achieve a sheerer look with my fingers rather than the brush but to each their own.

E.L.F HD Blush in Superstar is a bright strongly pink based coral, i'd technically describe it as a coral pink rather than coral but then again I do like to nit pick haha!
If like myself you are not the biggest fan of pink blushes but would like to switch it up slightly away from your typical bright coral or bronze based shades (completely talking about myself here) then this is a good way to go. Now I don't actually own any of the Make Up Forever HD Blushes (i'm hoping to remedy that come IMATS and when I go to the states later on in the year) but to my eye E.L.F HD Blush in Superstar looks to be a good dupe for their shade aptly dubbed Coral.

Being priced at £3.75 (without the discount) I didn't really have high expectations but my goodness these creamy liquid blushes excel their price point and many other cream/liquid blushes I have tried in the past.
To say the E.L.F HD Blush formula is pigmented is an understatement and for that reason I suggest approaching with a less is more attitude to avoid looking like a clown. The bonus however of having such wonderful colour pay off is that all skin tones can wear the blush without having to apply layer upon layer.
In my opinion E.L.F HD Blushes have a natural dewy, soft focus finish that leaves the skin with a light glow and is perfect for those like myself with enlarged pores as it doesn't settle into them and make things look worse than they are. In terms of wear this blush tends to last close to the 8 hour mark before my oily skin gets the better of it but on normal to dry skin types I'd imagine the wear time to be prolonged.
