I promised myself I wouldn't go too nuts with the new Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipsticks as I already owned three - review here but when I finally spotted Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipstick in Hot Plum on a stand I couldn't resist purchasing a tube as up until now I hadn't be able to find said shade.
Truth be told I'm seriously debating going back and snapping up the orange shade within this range to
as i'd be lying if I didn't say that I am really impressed by the formula.
Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipsticks come presented within neon red acrylic and silver tubes,
I know some may wonder why I always include a mention of any packaging which is purely aesthetic to most.
Well the reason is I know some are visual creatures like myself that may forget the name of the product they are looking for but won't forget the packaging when perusing the beauty aisles!
I should quickly mention that as well as being pretty funky visually I find all of Maybelline's Color Sensational packaging to be very robust and is often my choice for a night on the tiles...I'm sure that speaks for itself.
So yes five new shades each brighter than the last, I know stateside there is more shades to be had, eight all in...don't you hate when that happens?
Maybelline Hot Plum isn't really a plum shade at all and is more of a bright pink based purple that is cool in tone and reminds me very much of MAC's Daddy's Little Girl from their recent and now sold out Archie's Girl collection. If you like pink tinged violet shades such as MAC Up the Amp or perhaps really lusted after Daddy's Little Girl then this is a shade I doubt you'll need little encouragement to purchase.
The formula of the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipsticks is nothing short of amazing in my opinion!
Each shade has a soft butter like texture that feels like liquid on the lips, is hydrating and offers full opaque coverage in one quick swipe...it doesn't get much better than that.
I also didn't find that the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipstick formula clung to dry areas nor did it bleed or feather throughout the day but offered four hours of wear per application.
If there is a shade you adore I suggest snapping it up asap as for a £7 lipstick they really are rather fabulous!

ReplyDeleteThis colour is beautiful and quite different than in the bullet. I have the colour Shocking Coral, and I think I like it. I HATE the smell...but I think I do like the colour/formula. I think I need to wear it a bit more now that I think of it.
