Much like MAC Party Parrot, MAC Pink Pigeon first launched as part of the Iris Apfel collection last January and I will be the first to admit that I completely over looked the neon shades in favour of the bright coral shade that was Flamingo.
Next thing the two bright pink lipsticks I decided to skip began popping up on blogs, I fell in love and wouldn't you know it they were sold out everywhere and I have been kicking myself since.
Fast forward a little over a year later and much to be utter joy both shades have been re-promoted and you best believe I was one of the first in the UK to click that order button!

MAC Pink Pigeon is listed on the as a "bright, clean pink" and I agree but to go a little further I would say it is an almost neon pink with a strong blue undertone, which of course gives the slight illusion of whiter teeth.
Pink Pigeon is not all that dissimilar to MAC Candy Yum Yum but is slightly deeper and more blue in tone
but none the less if you have C.Y.Y you could skip and save £14!
Much like Party Parrot although listed as a matte formula I have found Pink Pigeon not to be a true matte as it is slightly creamy, not as drying and not totally flat like most MAC matte formulas.
However out of both shades (Party Parrot and Pink Pigeon) this is the most matte of the two.
Due to this element neither shade is as long wearing as a typical matte lipstick and tends to wear on my lips for around three hours but that aside both are truly stunning bright shades and a must for MAC lipstick hoarder collector like myself.
I'm not a fan myself but Kelly Osbourne has been snapped a few times in this shade since last year
and has also tweeted about it too...every post needs a little useless trivia eh?

MAC Pink Pigeon Lipstick has now sold out online via MAC (it was gone within a day of launch) but it could still launch via Selfridges and Debenhams as they tend to be a little behind and you can always check out your local counter as they launch tomorrow in-store...good luck!
