First of all we have Serenity of Beauty - link to blame for my new candle company obsession so if it wasn't for her posting about Kringle Candle Company I may not have ever encountered the loveliness that is their scents. You can blame and thank her in equal measures haha!
So yes the Kringle Candle Company perhaps you have heard of them or maybe you haven't?
Essentially the company is owned by a father and son duo, the father being the original owner (now retired) and creator of the one and only Yankee Candle Company so of course you only expect great things and let me tell you they deliver! Like most Yankee candles and tarts were my go to for a reasonable priced candle in between the odd reliance with Diptyque and Laura Mercier but my friends that has changed.
Kringle Candle Company more than excel in scent throw and frankly presentation compared to Yankee
and with candles and wax tarts starting at as little as 80p you really should try the brand out sooner rather than later.
To show a rough guide of the daylights size I have put it beside a bog standard tealight.
Like most candle brands the Kringle Candle Company offer many styles of candle to choose from but I plumped for a few daylights which are approximately the size of those huge tealights you find in Ikea and each one burns for 12 hours each. From my understanding the daylights are for those like myself who like to scent the house all day, small yet powerful in scent. I see this size as the perfect sampler option before purchasing your favourite fragrance in a larger size or for those who are fickle and like a different scent frequently.
As the days have become lighter with the sun making a rare appearance I decided to purchase some fresh and dare I say it summer inspired scents...don't let it be said that I'm not optimistic.
Beachside - "Cocoa butter, salt spray and sun-kissed ozone notes, Beachside will instantly evoke fond memories of warm sand and crashing waves." If sand had a scent this would be it, a yummy warm but salty scent that isn't overly artificial and like the official scribe states does remind me of a day at the beach.
Coconut Pineapple - "If you like Pina Colada then you'll love this tropical fusion of fresh, juicy pineapple and sweet creamy coconut." As much as I love the odd Pina Colada I have to say this reminds me more of sun lotion without the stickiness. I can't help but adore this scent as it floods my mind with sun soaked memories.
Honeydew Melon - "These melons slowly sip up the sun becoming sweet as bee-gathered honey in the process." This has to be the most realistic melon scent I have ever encountered, fresh sweet yet not sickly.
Splash - "Absolutely refreshing, the high citrus notes and bracing, bold, watery coolness of Splash awakens and invigorates the senses." This is a little too masculine for my personal taste and reminds me of Davidoff's Cool Waters scent. I think if you like typical aquatic scents or want a candle scent that is male friendly this one is for you.
Tranquil Waters - "This sun-drenched, relaxing fragrance brings together cooling marine hints with touches of ozone and amber." This is a slightly warmer and more feminine aquatic scent that is fresh but slightly floral too. This is the scent I am currently burning in my bathroom as it just seems fitting?
Under the Sea - "This oceanic fantasy fragrance combines subtle accords of lemon, tea and woods to achieve a modern and tantalizing alliance." Did I purchase this because I'm a little obsessed with Ariel the Little Mermaid? Maybe but rest assure this is a beautiful fragrance, yes it is aquatic so in turn it is fresh and cool but as it has subtle fruity notes it is a little more zesty. I find this scent to be uplifting, my singing of the song of the same title...not so much.
Each Kringle Candle Company Daylight set me back £2 and I bought them directly from the company.
oh wow these sound great! Good value too :)

DeleteThe Beachside fragrance intrigues me... how does one capture 'sun-kissed ozone notes'?! Next time somebody asks me about the weather, I'm going to throw in a ozone or two, really spice things up.
