I find myself frequenting the YSL counter more than my bank balance really allows
and that is purely because I have yet to be disappointed with any purchase from the brand.
Yes each trip is a little pricey but it is worth it because I know I will walk away with something
that will instantly become a firm favourite and will get the use and wear it so deserves.
My most recent purchase is YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #13 Peach Passion.

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks are quite possibly in the running for the most beautiful packaging ever,
a slim gold case with engraving and colour coordinated panels that match the lipstick housed inside,
all construct this stunning art piece that is a simple lipstick.
In some ways the casing reminds me of Faberge eggs, the attention to detail is unbeatable.
Delicate to look at yet sturdy and slightly heavy in form so the lipstick is not damaged with daily use.
YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks ooze class and sophistication.

Each website that stocks this particular line of YSL lipstick varies in shade variety
and being the silly goose that I am I forgot to note down just how many shades are available when
picking out my own shade but rest assure there is a great selection of shades to be had.
We all know that when it comes to lipstick I can be rather predictable so I guess it will be of little
surprise that I plumped for shade 13 which is dubbed Peach Passion.
Peach Passion is a bright peach shade with a slight pink leaning and a yellow undertone,
it is your typical summer shade (yes I know it is December) and there is plenty of similar shades on
the market place but the heart wants what the heart wants.
As this is has moderate pigmentation and a yellow undertone this will suit most complexions.

I'm not a massive fan of typical gloss lip products but sometimes I do crave a glossy finish every now and then, the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick is perfect for that.
YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick is a light, creamy and moisturising formula that can slip slightly throughout the day but no more so than the likes of MAC's Cremesheen or Revlon Lip Butters formulations.
I find the Rouge Volupte formula easy to wear as it is comfortable, hydrating and well pigmented
for a glossy finish product with around 3 hours of wear per application.
Summed up I'm a little in love and my MAC lipstick collection should be quaking in it's boots
as there is a new favourite in town!
