I'm not one for personal posts, I enjoy reading them and one of my favourite types of blogs to
read has to be those that are more lifestyle based so before I launch my lifestyle blog and let it stand on it's own two feet I thought I'd share a little peep into Glasgow at Christmas.

I loathe Christmas shopping, before you write me off as a Scrouge type (bah humbug) of character let me explain that I do adore the festive period but my idea of fun is not spending my weekend in a mobbed
shopping center with people huffing and puffing and fighting over the last half price bath set.

That being said Glasgow is great for shopping and not just at Christmas,
yesterday we paid a little visit to Ortak (there is two in Glasgow City Center and plenty in the UK,
to find your nearest store you can visit the site - link) my favourite pieces by far are from the new Charming range, I have the horseshoe necklace and it is the cutest, dinkiest piece I own by far...I love it.

I also picked up some gifts from Boots (and a naughty Essie Nail Polish for myself) and then treated myself to a new MAC Lipstick (Shy Girl), this is another reason why I hate Christmas shopping, I go out to
pick up gifts for others yet I come home laden with goodies for myself...oops!
Please say that I am not the only person who practically thinks a visit to Millies Cookies is law
if you go Christmas shopping?

As I sat typing this post it began to Snow in Glasgow and as I have seen a few posts from various bloggers
sharing their Christmas traditions I thought I'd follow suit (lordy that makes me sound like a sheep...bahhhh).
In my family we have the 12 day rule, which means the tree goes up on the 12th of December then
comes down 12 days after Christmas, does anyone else adhere to that rule?

Other traditions include going to the cinema on Christmas Eve to see a really festive film,
coming home and watching The Muppets Family Christmas (it kicks A Muppet's Christmas Carol all over the park and back again) and for the last few years burning Yankee's Christmas Eve scent.
At the stroke of midnight we all get to open one gift which is of course Pajamas which we sleep in
ready for the day of festive frolics ahead.
I only have one beauty tradition for Christmas Day and that is red lips with red glittery nail polish,
hey I'm nothing if not a good lover of a theme.

Are you full of Christmas Cheer yet?
