She Wore Blue...

Everywhere I turn cornflower blue nail polishes is all I see be it in magazines, colour forecasts
or kon the street, it seems we can't get enough of bright blue nails!
This is one trend I adore and find cobalt the perfect transition shade for January and February
when Christmas has long gone and we are all dreaming of spring, slightly warmer and lighter days.

Luckily with bright blue being everywhere it really isn't all that difficult to find a pretty cornflower
nail shade on the high street, below I have listed my top 6 shades and included something for every budget!
Personally I go for the deeper blue shades in January and then something a little lighter and more lilac
based for February.

1. Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Blueberry £2.99 via Superdrug - link, swatches here - link.
2. Essie Lapiz of Luxury £7.99 via Boots  - link,, swatches here - link
3. Bourjois Bleu Fabuleux £5.99 via Boots - link , swatches here - link
4. Miss Sporty (no shade name) £1.99 via Superdrug, swatches here - link
5. Essie Butler Please £7.99 via Boots - linkswatches here - link
6. Nails Inc Baker Street £11 via Boots - link, swatches here - link

  1. I really love blue polishes! I didn't realise that the Essie & Nail's Inc's blues were so similar! Great swatches!!

  2. I really like the deeper shades of blue-#3,4,5&6.

  3. Nails inc one is so pretty, i have been enjoying this trend!:)

  4. I'm never quite sure on blue varnish. I've bought quite a few. Inc a Nails Inc Denim one, but once I have them on I always feel they make my skin look so cold.

I'm very pale and it just doesn't seem to be a flattering shade on me.

I do love blue nails though, just not on myself!!!

  5. I've been LOVING blue nails for a while now, I have Topshop AWOL and I think that's the perfect cobalt blue, it's never off my nails! xx

  6. i love blue nail polishes, i think they're my favourite with pink ones!

  7. 4 till 7 looks like the same shade. gorgeous

  8. I love wearing cornflower blue makes my nails POP!
I have just started a blog and would love if you would come and check it out sometime! :)

  9. you really need to try Topshop Celestial, honestly the nicest cornflower blue and the formula is great! x

  10. The best cornflower blue I've found is "Electric Blue" (number 606) by Dior. I'm really glad I snagged it while it was still available!

  11. I've also been searching for this sort of blue, and I just found NARS Koliary of the Thakoon collection might just top it for me for now. Though I be looking into getting these Essie ones :)

  12. I like this shade of blue for my nails :)

  13. Is it going to be good gift for my girlfriend? I'll have to work a lot at AssignmentMountain to get it for her.
