I think most of us will be in agreement when I say that there is fewer brands cuter
and more appealing to our inner girlie girl than Pixi!
Pixi have recently launched a good few new products but the one that caught this coral/peach loving
magpie was the Pixi Shade Quartette in Shades of Peach as I do love a good multi-tasker,
thank you HQ Hair for stocking Pixi!

Pixi has a distinctive style of packaging which nearly always features a light pistachio green touch
in one way or another, the Shade Quartette's come presented within a sizable circular green case
with a large transparent window that allows you to see at ease the shades presented inside.
It wouldn't be Pixi without a few delicate touches which include a small golden Pixi emblem
and some fine almost floral piping around the edges of the transparent window.

"A tone-on-tone wheel of coordinated shades for the ultimate natural eye.
What it is formulated to do:
Custom mixed formula's from satin to iridescent are super silky and give instant lustre.

Suit-all shades transition easily from day to night and blend like a dream.
With added coated mineral pigments to reflect the light plus good-for-you nutrients."

Within the eye quartette range there is three various shade families all of which are fairly neutral
and typically suit all types of shades but the one that caught my eye was the Shades of Peach
quartet as not only could the peach/pink shades be used on the eyes but as the pans of colour
are fairly sizeable you can also use the shades on your cheeks!
Within the Shades of Peach compact you have a matte light peachy pink shade that is similar to MAC's Melba, you have a light shimmer based peach that would make a great blush on light skin tones
or a highlight on mid-deep skin tones, a shimmer based brown tinged pink that reminds me of Benefit's
Dallas and lastly a deeper brown tinged pink that is almost mauve in colour and again has a shimmer finish.

I was pleasantly surprised by just how well the Pixi Quartette is formulated,
each shade has great colour pay off without being overwhelming and difficult to blend
with a soft yet firm texture that does not produce excessive product fall out.
Sometimes light and matte shades can be chalky but this is far from the case with this little palette
and it is also great value as you can use the shades both on your eyes and cheeks.
In terms of wear when primed I typically get around 7 hours of wear before signs of wear
and creasing set in but as always I do like to stress that my oily skin is to blame!
