I finally got my hands on one of the Nivea Lip Butters yesterday!
I really wanted the Raspberry Rose version but there was only one left and some skank
had opened it and stuck their big silly fingers in it...seriously though what possesses people to do that,
when there is a hardly touched tester?
Anyway as the original version didn't have the typical Nivea scent (think their blue tubs of cream and
sun lotions) I went for the Carmel Cream option which isn't nearly as sickly sweet as I had imagined.
It instead has a slight sugary vanilla scent that is mild and undetectable once on the lips.
The texture is beautiful, a thick balm product that is soft yet does not feel uncomfortable on the lips
and instantly moisturises with a little hint of a glossy finish.
I don't honestly know all that much about the science of beauty products and ingredients to steer clear
off but I do know that a good few people loathe petroleum jelly which this does not contain.
I can't see this product healing chapped lips but it will give moisture and comfort to dry lips
and is a great size not to mention price to pop into a bag or pocket!
Nivea Lip Butters are currently on offer for £1.49 in Superdrug,
I have not found them anywhere else as of yet and trust me I have looked!
This sounds good enough to eat. Raspberry Rose sounds gorgeous too.

DeleteLooks very nice, but what about the tin? Is it easy to open? :)
ReplyDeleteReally easy to open but not so much that they fall open, if that makes sense?
DeleteAh thank you for clarifying that, I honestly have no idea when it comes to ingredients haha :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, interesting! I wonder if these will be available internationally... ebay maybe!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound amazing. I really want to try that.
ReplyDeleteYummy, I love Vanilla in a product! Thanks for letting me know they were on the market I had no idea! Xxx
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! I hope we get these in Spain =)
ReplyDeleteThese look great. Why do people always need to open the product and stick their fingers in though? I've been hunting for an MUA brow kit and the only ones left have the brush/tweezers missing or mucky fingerprints in. argh!
