Stila Convertible Color in Peony - Review

Stila Convertible Color in Lillium was my first ever Stila purchase,
I must have been about 16 and Sex in the City was all anyone in school spoke about -
to this day I still have never seen an episode and never will.
But I saw a photo of Sarah Jessica Parker applying her make-up using the mirror of a
Stila Convertible Color compact and knew that one of those pretty floral compacts had to be mine
and now Stila is back in the UK I am reliving my teen years!

As mentioned above the packaging of the Stila Convertible Color's is truly adorable,
metallic round compacts that are colour co-ordinated to match the product inside
and feature a dainty floral pattern on the outer shell and a sizeable mirror on the inside.
I can vouch that these little compacts can take a knock or two and as the product is cream
based you needn't worry about it smashing.

Stila Convertible Color's  which are 2-in-1 products - cheeks and lips,
come in 5 various shades, all of which are fairly neutral
and give more of a natural wash of colour rather than a bright bold colour statement.
This time around I have Peony which is a blend of brown and pink that leans fairly cool,
it reminds me of MAC Faux and is a great every day shade that will suit most as a lip shade
and light-medium skin tones as blush product.

The colour pay off is great and can be build up or sheered out depending on your preference
and settles to a natural matte finish that does not dry out the lips nor does it highlight enlarged
pores, fine lines or dry skin patches and is light on the skin resulting in a comfortable wear experience.
I find the Convertible Color's really easy to apply, for the lips you can simply dab on using your finger tips
or use a lip brush for precision. For the cheeks again you can dot on using the finger tips and then blend
out which is my preferred method or using a stipple brush.
In terms of wear it lasts around 2 hours on my lips and 6 hours on my cheeks before signs of wear set
in but do keep in my mind that my oily skin does effect wear time.

  13. How beautiful! :D I like multipurpose products a lot :)
I had seen this Stila convertibles in some web pages but as it's a little pricey I haven't thought on buying it.
I like the packaging a lot, each shade with its own color :)

  14. I still don't happy any of these. They seem like a more wet formula than other cream blushes but I might have to pick one up to review myself. Thanks for showing us this color.
