Clarins Rouge Prodige Lipstick in Paradise Pink - Review

As you may know by now that newly launched is Clarins Autumn collection - Ombre Mineral
and I did manage to pick up a few pieces to share.
I thought I would kick start with one of my favourite additions to the Clarins line,
their Rouge Prodige True Hold Colour and Shine Lipsticks which come in 33 shades
which means there should be something there for everyone!

As with all of Clarins make-up it comes beautifully packaged in a bright gold case
with little Clarins emblems tastefully added here and there.
Although exceptionally pretty it is very well made and should not present any problems
as I truthfully feel you would be hard pushed to break this lipstick in any way.

As mentioned there is 33 beautiful shades in the line but as I am only one little lady
and my bank balance isn't looking too rosy these days I only picked up one shade
which is Paradise Pink.
Paradise Pink is a light but bright pink that has a slight yellow undertone
and is slightly louder in colour than what I usually go for but it works wonderfully paired with a
deep smokey eye look or slicked on with neutral make-up.
Due to the yellow undertone it will suit most skin tones and really boil down to personal preference.

If you like moisturising yet pigmented lip colours then this is the formula for you,
they feel light and hydrating on the lips yet offer decent colour pay off.
You can easily layer on the colour for deeper coverage without it bleeding or gathering in fine lines
or use one coat for a slightly more sheer look - great if bold colour isn't your thing.
Due to the soft texture of these lipsticks they slick on with ease and amazingly don't slide off the lips
which is always a worry for me when it comes to butter soft lip products.
The Rouge Prodige formula seems to grip on to the lips and stays put for a good four hours with ease
which in my opinion is pretty good going considering they don't dry the lips out at all!

In a nutshell I love the formula and pretty much want to rob my local Clarins counter!

  2. I've not spotted these lipsticks before; I don't pay all that much attention to Clarins to be honest. I love that the product is flush with the packaging though; I hate it when lipsticks get all smooshed! xx
