Beyonce Shimmer Brick?

No your eyes do not fool you, I am indeed typing up a post centred around a cheek
product that has been given the shade name Beyonce!
Of course it has nothing to do with musical super star that is Beyonce Knowles
but I have to admit that the shade name did grab my attention.

The Famous by Sue Moxley brand has had a little make over and it sees the addition
of lots of animal prints and chrome accents used to spruce up the packaging.
The newly packaged and titled Shimmer Bricks come presented within a sizeable
matte black compact that has a glossy leopard print over lay and accented by pink chrome.
Inside the compact is a decent sized mirror but I have to be honest and say that as it is constructed
of plastic it does feel a little cheap and flimsy.

In the Famous Shimmer Brick line up there a whole slew of celebrity inspired names including:
Lady, Mariah, Rihanna and of course the shade I have in my clutches which is Beyonce.
The Beyonce Shimmer Brick is composed of various shades of pink and mauve all of which are of course
shimmer based in formula and most have a slight golden accent.
Individually the stripes of colour are not overly pigmented and as they are rather narrow I doubt
that they can be used separately as a cheek colour but when combined the shades form a bright candy
pink blush that again has a golden accent making it warm in tone.
For light to medium tones this will be a shimmer based blush and on deeper shades it will be more
of a highlight option.

To the touch the Beyonce Shimmer Brick is dry and firm but it does pick up fairly well on a brush
with a little product fall out.
As I have enlarged pores I do struggle with shimmer based blushes as they tend to highlight my pores
and this was sadly the case with this shade which is a shame as it is a great radiant shade
that may cancel out the need for a separate highlighter.
In terms of wear the dry formula is a blessing as it seems to make the product stay in place a little
longer than some other shimmer based products I have tested with it wearing for around 7 hours,
however this may cling to dry patches and may not be the best option for drier skin types.

Famous Cosmetics Shimmer Brick in Beyonce* currently £4.49 (usually £6.49) for of product,
