Today I have the fabulous Stephanie from Geek About Town sharing the contents of her make-up bag,I have been a fan of Stephanie's blog (and witty Tweets) for the longest time.
She always does such great reviews with wonderfully clear photos,

For the longest time, I used to never carry around a make-up bag as A) I didn’t want the extra weight
in my handbag and B) I fooled myself into thinking that I didn’t need that much make-up (*flips
hair*). That all changed when I was forced to give immigration my passport which had apparently
been ‘vagazzled’ by a split Barry M glitter pot in my bag while going through security. ¬_¬
Cringing memory aside, I now carry a small make-up bag packed with only the essentials that I need
for the day. I purchased my make-up bag from Boots - it’s pretty small, cute and convenient as you
can wipe it clean. In regards to make-up brushes, I normally keep them in a separate roll for hygienic
reasons.
Face
REN Max Moisture Concentrate Serum – If I know that I’ll be applying my makeup on the go, I
always use REN’s serum underneath my foundation first as it keeps my skin hydrated and helps my
foundation stay on for longer. I know that it’s the norm to normally use a primer, but I find that
serums are much more intense and helps give my skin a flawless finish. I love REN’s concentrate
serum as I find it gives my skin a healthy, glowing complexion.
MAC Matchmaster Foundation – I have different foundations for different occasions and
Matchmaster is my “work” foundation. Because I’m very active at work, I needed a foundation
immense staying power while giving my skin a ‘dewey’ look. I find that I only need a tiny amount of
product to last me through the day.
MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Naturals – I LOVE MAC’s Mineralize skin finishes – this is my second pot.
I use this as a finishing powder for my liquid foundations as it helps mattify my face and I can also
use it as a powder foundation in itself. It’s not too heavy and has a slight sheen in the sunlight which
looks lovely.
Eyes
Avon Ideal Flawless Concealer Stick – This is my first purchase from Avon and I love it because it
really does do a David Copperfield on the stacks of luggage under my eyes. The texture is a bit
chalky, however what I do is give it a short rub between my hands before use and blend it into my
skin.
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner – I always love a bit of liquid liner – although I don’t use
actual ‘liquid’ liner as more liquid tends to get in my eye than my lid, so the felt tip of this pen is very
convenient and easy to use, even on top of eye shadows.
Lips
Sleek Pout Polish in Perfect Plum – I carry this little fella everywhere with me as I love the
pigmentation and how long it stays on my lips! I usually use this to top up my lips when my lipstick
wears off during the day – regardless of what colour I had on previously. It’s uber moisturising and
has a pretty decent longevity factor.
MAC Lipstick in Touch – Touch is my go- to nude for any occasion. In the past I’ve found it so hard to
find a nude lippie so when I saw this in MAC, I snapped up around 3 of ‘em! It’s a gorgeous eggshell white/beige colour that has a velvety sheen to it when applied. It only lasts a couple of hours but it
has a lovely lustrous finish.
MAC Lipstick in ‘Rebel’ – On the days when I’m feeling a bit more ‘grrr’, I use Rebel which has fast
become one of my favourite lipsticks as the colour is amazing! It’s a bit more matte than Touch but it
does last a long time and I tend to use this with the sleek pout polish for a glossy finish.
What do you keep in your daily make-up bag?
