Early 2012 MAC announced that there would be a collection of shades that have been discontinued
or were limited edition to begin with that have been requested by Mac fan's worldwide.
The winning shades would and have been determined by Facebook votes ( I forgot to vote..oops)
and split into three categories - lipstick, lipglass and eyeshadow.
Personally I feel that one of the lip products should have been dropped in favour of blush or MSF's,
don't you?
Anyway on to the winning shades which are set to launch in August,
all of which will be online exclusives!
Lipsticks
Candy Yum Yum - Neon pink (Matte)
Moxie - Bright pink (Matte)
Rocker - Burgundy-red with glitter (Matte)
Lipglasses
Bait - Iris-pink with gold pearl (Frost)
Cult of Cherry - Clean red with red pearl (Frost)
Flash of Flesh - Light nude pink with pearl (Frost)
Eyeshadows
Guacamole - Light green with gold pearl (Frost)
Jeté - Sandy coral (Veluxe Pearl)
Moth Brown - Soft metallic grey/brown (Frost)
Truthfully I will more than likely pick up another Candy Yum Yum and perhaps Moxie too
but the rest of the products don't interest me.
What about you, are you excited for this launch?

DeleteI'm a little disappointed with the selections. Would have loved a paint pot category in there or like you said an MSF or two. This doesn't make me jump for joy :(

ReplyDeleteCandy Yum Yum is lovely but not exactly a shade I wear everyday haha! Very wise as there is some wonderful collections on their way for Autumn and I don't just mean from Mac.

That's how I feel, looking at the eyeshadows they are nothing new and easily dupable, I guess it all came down to voting in the end.

Really like the looks of Candy Yum Yum and Rocker- I'm a bit annoyed that it's only online though, I'd prefer to see them in person first! xx
ReplyDeleteI've never owned any of these before they were discontinued or when they were limited edition but I would probably buy the Bait and Flash of Flesh lipglass as I love pink & nude lip products. I might also be tempted to order a lipstick in Rocker if I'm feeling more daring! x

Missed out on CYY the first time and I totally regret it. I will definitely be picking up CYY and mothbrown. Moxie is a maybe!

Don't get me wrong the colours are nice but I thought MAC would bring out something more exciting. They have so many pinks in their collection already! Why not bring out new paint pots, a foundation or a mascara.
