ghd launches a nationwide socially powered beauty experience
The ghd air Boutique opens its doors at Vogue Fashion’s Night out on 6th September 

Today, world leading professional hair styling brand ghd reveals it will 
be launching the ghd air Boutique; the world’s first socially powered beauty experience featuring 
hair makeovers with the ghd Style Team, model castings and a travelling airstream trailer kitted out 
with everything ghd.  

The Boutique will be opening its doors for the very first time on 6th September as part of the 
renowned Vogue Fashion’s Night Out and will then hit the road visiting locations around the UK as 
directed by the public. Everything will be completely powered by ghd fans via its social media 
channels – from live Q&As with stylists and deciding on hairstyles, to choosing the next location for 
the travelling ghd air Boutique.



As part of the launch, ghd is working with Select Model Management on a unique search to find a 
new model that will be given an opportunity to sign with the agency and to model for ghd later this 
year. A casting will take place at the ghd air Boutique on the 6th, with a shortlist of five budding 
models pre-chosen by Select from images uploaded via Facebook. Fans will then be given the power 
to decide on the ultimate winner. 

Access to the boutique is not only for aspiring models – anyone who would like an ultimate blow dry 
by a member of the ghd Style Team can book an appointment via Twitter or Facebook. 

Following the event, the ghd air Boutique Airstream will embark on a ‘socially powered’ journey 
around the UK, with social media followers deciding on which location will be visited next.
