YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation - Guest Review

I'll apologise for this post right up front but get ready to WANT!

20 years after the launch of Yves Saint Laurent's, now cult product, Le Touche Éclat and following 10 years of extensive research, development and leading edge technology, Le Teint Touche Éclat is 'the first product to bring you the weightlessness of a tinted moisturiser yet the coverage of a foundation'. On June 28th Selfridges of London and Brown Thomas stores in Ireland will have the world exclusive launch of this innovative foundation with worldwide availability following on July 9th.

I had the opportunity to meet Fred Letailleur, International Make Up Artist for YSL in Dublin and have a quick chat about what makes Le Teint Touche Éclat just so special.

Firstly, it promises the 'magic light' of Touche Éclat in a foundation that's suitable for all skin types and age ranges. Like Touche Éclat for your entire face, but better. It's the first entirely accessible foundation that not only boasts a whopping 22 shades, but each of these has three separate undertones (Rose, Beige & Gold) which means there's 66 tones in all, so there's bound to be one to suit your skin tone perfectly regardless of ethnicity or skin type.

Fred assured me that Le Teint Touche Éclat can be applied using either your fingers or foundation brush, colour is buildable, works tirelessly to create a luminous glow and brings radiance back to the skin like no other product on the market. Used with Touche Éclat pen, they form the perfect duo to define contours and target shadowy areas of the face.

I've been using this foundation for 2 weeks now and I'm converted. The lack of talc, silica and bulking agents means it doesn't settle in fine lines or *gasp* wrinkles, nor give you a mask like effect, regardless of the coverage you build up. There have been mornings that I've had to be on site after 4 hours sleep and genuinely my skin hasn't looked better, bright and radiant enough to garner compliments from Engineers? That has to be good.

Priced at a very competitive £28/€38 for a luxury brand foundation, I'd urge you to get to a YSL counter, be colour matched with your perfect shade, receive a very generous 7 Day sample and prepare to fall in love.

Excited much?

The lovely Sue sent my this review over a few weeks ago and my goodness what an enabler!
I have since went out and bought a bottle and yes it's every bit as wonderful
as the above review lets on!

Damn you Sue ;) please check out Sue's blog here and follow her on Twitter @ItsCherrySue.

    1. Fred was saying they chose clear bottles for not only ease of colour matching but because it is inspired by the Touche Éclat pen. It's a lovely addition to any dresser x

    1. It really is, my skin is normal but on days when I'm running around I use La Roche Posay's Effaclar Mat as a primer (it's a mattifying, anti shine moisturiser) and it keeps the shinies at bay x
