While on holiday in Palma, Spain I stumbled across a small pharmacy that stocked Essie nail polishes and for a very good price too – six euros each which works out to approximately £4.70 which is absolute steal given in the UK Essie polishes retail for £7.99 so it is quite a saving and suffice to say I indulged a little!
Taking full advantage of the slashed price I bough four out of the six shades available from
the Summer 2012 Collection – Bikini So Teeny!
Today I’m going to show you the token bright pink that every Summer collective
worth it’s salt has to have – Essie Off the Shoulder.

Off the Shoulder is a clean bright pink that has a slight yellow tone,
it strangely reminds me of Mac Viva Glam Nicki but only in nail polish form.
It is one of those shades that pretty much suits all skin tones
and although it is bright enough it is not neon so therefore not offensive to the eyes.
Personally I like the shade but I wouldn’t go as far as saying I love it but it is nice enough
and one I will more than likely sport on my toes sooner or later.

By now most will know how I feel about the new Essie brush, yes it covers the nail in one quick stroke but if you have fairly narrow nails (photos don’t quite show how small my nails are but in reality I have the hands and nails of a child…scary) it can make quite the mess, however for most I’d imagine it is a complete time saver rather than have the reverse effect.

The formula of Essie Off the Shoulder is grade A, it applies evenly and well – no patches or streaks and dried rather quickly too. It took two coats for full opaque coverage and when fully dry although crème in formula it had a high shine finish so you could skip a glossy top coat if you so wish.

The best deal I have found for Essie Off the Shoulder is via eBay £5.92 (inclusive of p&p) - link

Nail Polish Disclaimer - I no longer comment on the wear time as we all apply polishes differently (top/base coats etc) and as I change my polish almost daily sometimes several times a day due to swatching purposes I do not feel that I can fairly comment on wear time.
