I know that large multi-coloured and multi-finish palettes are highly sought after in the beauty world
with many owning one of the infamous 88 or 188 palettes but what if there was a smaller high street
version that has all you need to create more looks than you could shake a tail at?
Launching today is two 32 pan palettes from Accessorize that combine a whole array of shades
with two finishes matte and shimmer (both palettes contain a variety of each finish), Lovely Day
is the more neutral palette option of the two and You are Everything is the slightly bolder palette.
Lovely Day comes presented in a really pretty leopard and rose print sturdy cardboard case
that closes with a bright pink elastic closure which is surprisingly snug and not at all flimsy.
Although it contains 32 eyeshadow's and a mirror it is surprisingly compact and roughly the size
of a typical 12/16 pan eyeshadow kit (think Sleek Make-Up not Mac) making it perfect
for travelling with be it on your holidays or for everyday touch up's!
Each eyeshadow is around the size of a one pence piece which is pretty sizeable
and more than sufficient to get most eye brushes into without a struggle.
As mentioned this is the more neutral palette of the two so the shades are slight more muted
but there is a good variety of shades including a few bright shades.
In terms of formula the shimmer shades are far superior in terms of colour pay off and texture - they are silky
and highly pigmented where as I found the matte's to be a little chalky and weaker in terms of pigmentation but I have yet to find a decent high street matte formula truth be told.
Neither of the formulas greatly suffer from product fall out and wear best with a primer,
the shimmer shades without a primer fair for around four hours and the matte's a little less at three hours.
I do feel this will draw some comparisons to the MUA Immaculate collection however personally
I feel this palette is more thought out and has a better shade selection but formula wise
yes they are indeed very similar.
All in all a great palette for £8.95, this would be a fantastic item for those beginning out with make-up
or for those who travel a lot as it takes up very little space yet provides many options!
Available from selected Superdrug's and Accessorize stores 16g/£8.95

Nothing in the Accesorize line as caught my attention until now. This looks like a really nice way to get a range of eyeshadows at a great price. I'll definitely be checking this (and the other) palette out!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else reaally not a fan of the leopard/rose combo, either on their own I like, but together? Weird. Just my humble opinion though. :)

Haha really I quite like it but I will be truthful and say my taste borderlines tacky ;)
Deleteahh i thought it looked like an MUA palette and the address on the back confirms it! i like the look of these shades more than the immaculate collection, shinyyy x
ReplyDeleteThanks for confirming :) it has been driving my coconuts but I couldn't find any MUA palettes in my house haha :)
DeleteI have seen so many posts on this product which makes me even want to buy it more. Although the packaging is very sleek and well presented, i feel that it will get dirty very easily as i have learnt from most of my card packages products. The colour range is great and they are so pigmented aswell. I think i need to check out Accessories cosmetic range asap when i can :) Thanks for sharing~x
