Launching on the of May 21st is the Body Shop's limited edition make-up range
that sees them partner up with the beautiful Lily Cole.
As with all of the Body Shop Products this range is cruelty free
and a perfect array of colours for the fairer skinned ladies out there.
As with all of The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes these are packaged really well,
not only do they come housed in a transparent square compact but each cube is individually packaged
so you can pop out a few for travel if you don't require all four shades at once.
The case is sturdy and practical not only in size but due to it being transparent you can see exactly
what is inside with such ease.
The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes in the Lily Cole range consists of four pink and purple tones
which compliment one and other and can be used alone or blended with one and other.
All of The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes can be used wet or dry depending on the effect you require.
The Green quad is the perfect set of shades for the upcoming spring season.
A quick run down of the shades in the palette :
01 Think Pink - A deep dusky pink that leans slightly red/burgundy, quite Olsen-esque.
02 Live Lilac - A true pastel lilac, perfect for all this seasons pastel/floral prints.
03 Go Violet - A deep violet almost plum - great for blending into a smokey eye look.
04 Tint it Pink - A light pastel pink that is a great highlight option.
The formula of The Shimmer Cubes has changed vastly since I last used them,
gone is the excessive fall out and in place we have firm texture shadows that are well pigmented
and look equally great wet or dry.
I found the formula easy to work with, they built up easily if strong colour is your thing
and they also blended out really well too should you require a lighter effect.
One thing I should mention is that each shade is metallic in finish (no glitter)
and that there is no variation of formula across the shade spectrum.
Without primer these last on my oily eye lids for around 4 hours before creasing
but with primer this lasted a good full 10 hours with no signs of creasing or fading.
The thing with shimmer cubes is that with proper care boy do they last!
Product Summary
Round Up - A quad of pink/purple hues that are well pigmented and can be used wet or dry.
Best For - Fans of such shades and those who enjoy metallic eyeshadows.
Pigmentation - (8/10) Each shade is well pigmented with no weak shades in the quad.
Availability - This will launch at Most Body Shop stores and via their web store on the 21st of May.(£15)

They are lovely :) agreed she is a great choice :)
DeleteI really like the 2 shades that you've swatched in the middle. I didn't know you could take the cubes out of the box, I think the Body Shop should sell them individually so you can create your own sort of palette! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea you should totally email them about that it would be fab! :)
DeleteThey look amazing! I really like the look of the deep plum shade.
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice, but the two right hand shades seem a bit too close to their chocolate shimmer cubes which i already own. I love them, btw, although I wish they would come out with some matte cubes!
