One of The Body Shop's newest launches is the Beautifying oil line,
which is a line of multi-purpose dry oils that can be used on the body, face and hair.
There is eleven scents/variations to collect or choose from including: Strawberry, Shea, Coconut,
Moringa, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Lemon, Mango, Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit, Olive
and Chocomania so quite a selection I'm sure you'd agree!
"Beautifying Oil is pure beauty in a bottle. Made with a lightweight blend of nut oils including Community Fair Trade marula oil, it gives instant hydration and a shimmering finish. This one has a sweet strawberry scent."
that is quickly absorbed into the skin but it does leave behind a shimmer/glow effect on the skin
so although the product can be used on the face it is not one for those who like a matte effect.
I found it best for the legs as it gives a sexy sheen effect and makes the legs appear longer,
it is also great used on the hands and massaged into the cuticle area.
On the hair I found it to be a little to heavy for dry hair (dry as in the opposite to wet)
which it is recommended for use on as I found it to leave my hair feeling a little weighed down
but that could just be my hair type?
For me this is a great product for sticking in a travel bag as you really have a great all round product
and okay it doesn't say you can use this to bathe with but i'm betting it would be more than okay!
Have you tried the new beautifying oils?

ReplyDeleteI have never tried TBA oils but I am very intrigued...especially because of the different scents! I think this would be really nice to use on arms an legs in the summer!

It really does :)
DeleteI really want to try the coco butter one, but I would be more interested in using it on my hair. Did it make much difference to your hair??
ReplyDelete:)
Dry not really, it felt a little sticky but I'm going to throw caution to the wind and try it on wet hair and report back :)
DeleteIt's great on wet hair, can be a bit heavy if you use too much - but after a week of using it I've been noticing my hair is much more bouncy!
DeleteThese sound really interesting, I bet the strawberry one smells gorge! I'm in love with the strawberry body butter <3
ReplyDeleteYou will love this then :)
DeleteHow much are they?? Worth an investment?? x
ReplyDelete£9 and i'd say so especially for on holiday etc :)
DeleteThank you! I picked up two the other day as they're on a 2 for £15 deal atm, and the girl that works in the shop told me that the reason you're supposed to use it on dry hair is because it's a leave it on overnight, wash out in the morning, kind of product :) x
DeleteI have the shea one and love it!
ReplyDeleteI really want to smell that one :)

ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about these but I'm not sure I'd ever use it as I hate the feeling of oiliness!
ReplyDeletehttp://maligreen.blogspot.co.uk
Oh maybe skip in that case :)
DeleteCan you put this product in your hair before you blow dry it do you know or is it only recommended for when your hair is dry?
ReplyDeleteIt says to be used on dry hair but i'd give it a go worse case scenario is that you'd have to wash it out :)
DeleteI was at the event in Dublin last night and got one to try out, soo looking forward to trying it!!
ReplyDeleteOhh what scent did you get? :)
DeleteLove the look and sound of beautifying oil - I think i'll buy up a whole box, tip them all in a bath and just immerse myself haha!

Great review lovely :)
DeleteWhen you say leaves a shimmer/glow effect on the skin is that dry? I hate it when oils leave any shiny residue on the skin. My skin is really fussy so I'm on the hunt for a good dry oil :).
ReplyDeletehttp://athingofbeauty1.blogspot.co.uk/
Yeah that is when the skin is dry, it doesn't feel greasy but there is a little residue so you may not like it :(
DeleteAwh Nevermind then! If i'm feeling a little spontaneous I may give it a go lol.
DeleteThanks for the reply hun :).
Looks delicious :D xx
ReplyDeleteI really want the coconut one and I haven't even smelled it yet - I might try it as an overnight treatment for my hair so I could wash it out the next morning, also definitely want to take it on holiday - the only time I get my bare legs out, I want anything that helps make them look longer and not stumpy ha! xx
ReplyDeleteI bet the coconut one is lovely - coconut always is :)
DeleteOh that is a fab idea I may try that!
Haha story of my life 5ft 1 with no legs hahaha!
This looks lovely, I think it would be great for holiday, or any time i need to get my legs out. I would love the appearance of longer legs without wearing high heels that would be amazing hehe xx

I have Satsuma and I love the smell! I ll post a review on my blog too!:-) xx M.
ReplyDeleteHI! A Body Shop employee here... a few tips on how to use the oil...
ReplyDeleteUse it on dry hair as an overnight treatment... comb through from roots, wrap hair in a turban and then shampoo out the next morning.
Use it on just washed hair - not even towel dried - apply to the bottom two thirds of the hair shaft ONLY... then dry your hair as normal.
Use it on the body straight after a shower - do not towel dry. Massage the oil onto wet skin and allow to air dry. It's better than a body butter (in my opinion!)
Use it on the legs, arms and hands (use a tissue to wipe excess from palms and fingers) to moisturise and give a glow to the skin.
Use a little on the face... a drop or two will do - in dry areas only but NOT if you are prone to oily skin.
PS: Anybody lucky enough to live near an Outlet store (there's one in Hatfield Galleria, Herts) can get huge discounts! 30% of when you buy 2, 35% off when you buy 3 and 40% off when you buy 4 or more. That works out at 4 bottles (normally £36) only costing £21.60 !! (£5.40 each) This also applies to everything else in store! :o)
These sound lovely, I think I need to get my hands on the coconut one! My sister loves these sorts of spray oils, too, so maybe I'll treat her to one...
