fill up with bright shades to slick on our lips and to paint our nails with!
A few new shades have unfolded onto my local Revlon stand
and one that caught my eye is Sizzle and insanely bright lip gloss.
For a drugstore brand the packaging is faultless,
it is sleek with a subtle nudge to the mother ship that is Chanel
thanks to the quilted engraving on the lids.
The clear tubing makes it a breeze to spy what shade is housed inside
and the doe foot applicators is slightly better than the bog standard ones
due it to it being flat and super flexible.
That being said I would still prefer a brush time applicator
but we can't win every battle!
Revlon Sizzle looks slightly like a bright tomato red in the tube
yet when applied it is most certainly a bright orange
but not an orange shade that is totally un-wearble
in-fact as far as a true orange shade goes I would say this is fairly muted!
Sizzle is fairly warmed toned but as it is a gloss most skin tones should be able to make it work
especially if layered over another lips shade.
For a gloss this is surprisingly pigmented but I find the Colorburst lip glosses to be one of
the better pigmented glosses available.
I bet you are wondering why I am so fond of Revlon Colour Burst lipglosses?
Well unlike my past experiences with lipgloss, (which are so far from positive it is unreal)
these aren't sticky in the slightest and are comfortable to wear, which is a complete first for me!
They feel creamy, moisturising and light, a joy to wear.
They do however preform like any other lipgloss you'll achieve high shine finish
but very much like a typical lipgloss the wear is typically short 1-2hours max!
Generally they aren't the most pigmented lip products on the market but they do deliver a hint of a tint
and are fragrance free, great for those who have sensitive noses and hate strongly scented lip products.
Product Summary
Round Up - A bright orange lip gloss that is well pigmented and moisturising.
Best For - Most fans of orange glossy lips should rejoice!
Pigmentation - (6/10) In my experience that is fair for a lip gloss.

I don't know why, but I was expecting a more opaque red. You're right to say it's fairly muted but it's still quite complimentary on you.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was skilled and imaginative with my pictures!
