As you may or may not know Tangerine Tango has been selected as Pantone Colour of the year
for the year of 2012 - link, this makes me happy for many reasons!
The main reason being that Orange is one of the few shades that actually suits me,
be I blonde or brunette, tanned or not - though there's no denying Orange works wonderfully well with a tan
and when it comes to make-up we all know I love nothing more than a good orange,
peach, coral or anything slightly tangerine tinged make- up product or ten!
Today I am going to share a variety of posts all with one thing in common,
that thing being the shade - various hues of Orange in make-up form...enjoy.
In this post I thought i'd share my favourite Tangerine toned products.
Illamasqua Gamma Nail Polish
If you only own one Orange nail polish let it be this one,
it's the brightest best neon tangerine polish on the block.
Not only is the shade amazing but it applies and wears well to boot!
Mac M'orange Lipstick
This was my first foray into tangerine/orange lips
and I have never looked back, yes this is a bright orange shade
but it has a pleasant red undertone that makes wearing it a breeze!
Korres Lip Butter in Mango
If you only want a hint of a tint but want to tap into the tangerine trend then pick this up.
It delivers a lovely light sheen of colour with a glossy finish and moisturises the lips as it tints.
Nars Taj Mahal
This is the orange blush to own, super pigmented so it will last forever and a day
but you can apply this with a light hand for a light flush of colour...love it!
What are your must have Tangerine beauty products?
Great post! I also find inspiration in Pantone's forecasts, thoguh this year the shades are a bit meh :(
ReplyDeleteGamma Nail Polish is amazingZ!
ReplyDeleteEek, I think tangerine's a bit too bright for me, but maybe in more subtle doses it could work. The again I'll wear anything on my nails! Xx

ReplyDeleteI love orange nails! At first glance they look like a classic red, but they're a bit more fun x

This is like porn to me! You know I love my corals and peaches! I haven't actually tried many 'orange' products though. I would like to try morange but I just don't think that it would suit me xxx
ReplyDeleteI always thought tangerine was too bright on my but I may have changed my mind! I really like Illamasqua Gamma Nail Polish. Thanks for the great review xx Lucy

ReplyDeleteMorange and Korean Candy from MAC, obvs. Illamasqua's Lover is more of a peachy but it works well, Tarte's tipsy too!
ReplyDeleteGreat post :) I'm a natural red head so I can only get away with a certain amount of orange, but I love it on other people :)

Orange just doesn't suit my pale skin, even on the fingernails it leaves the skin on my hands looking a horrible ill colour - looking at your selection of orange toned products I'm pretty jealous!
ReplyDeleteI love coral/peach/orange makeup too!! My favourite of the moment are Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti-Frutti and Revlon Super Lustrous gloss in Coral Reef, especially when worn together!
