but at the moment I have a little bit of a fetish for deep navy polishes
and can't help but reach for them when out shopping...naughty indeed!
MUA Shade 1 is a deep navy shade that has an almost jelly like finish
and tiny particles of electric blue glitter scattered throughout.
The overall effect is somewhat similar to OPI's Russian Navy minus the glitter
so if you are on a budget this is a great buy for deep navy nails!
The polish applies well but I did find the brush a little on the large side
but in all fairness my nails are quite small in breadth so that may be the problem.
I found the polish to be opaque after two coats but please note the polish does dry slowly
so you will have to be patient to avoid smudging.
Typically I found the MUA polishes to wear for around 3 days with minor tip wear
you can always prolong wear with a good top coat.
MUA Nail Varnish Shade 1 £1/6.2ml and is available from selected Superdrugs
and the MUA web store - link
That's a gorgeous shade!
ReplyDeleteI've worn this nail varnish more than any of my others and I've only had it about 2 months. I absolutely love it. X
ReplyDeleteI can honestly see why :)
DeleteLove this! Like you say not very summery though haha. This is the type of colour that I love to wear in the winter but I suppose it would still be good for a night out x

Oh my ... Theres a No7 nail varnish which looks exactly like this one which I love, but its £7.50 so obviously I use it sparingly. I bought it as a dupe for the OPI one. This is seriously a dupe for the No7 one now! I am a happy chappy! Plus, gorgeous colour!
ReplyDeleteAlso on a different note... LOVE the lil blog make over!
looks like a very pretty midnight blue (strarry midnight type) polish :D must be really pretty at night!
ReplyDeleteI really line dark navy blue nails, this nail polish is really pretty ! xx

I have Russian Navy and the Boots one Lisa mentioned...Betty Blues, I think it's called.
ReplyDeleteIt's great when you find a good dupe, that blue is such a good colour. I always favour darker fingernails over bright and neutral.
This was the first MUA polish I ever bought, I love the look of it in the bottle, but I find that the blue glitter hardly translates on to my nails :(
