The newest launch from MUA sees them collaborate with Alexandra Burke
for a collection of 4-in-1 lip products - there is eight different colour ways to collect
and that I shall considering they are only £3 each!

MUA Lip Boom's are duo ended lip products that have a matte lip shade at one end
and a really glittery highlighter come lip top coat at the other end.
They are packaged quite cleverly and are compact enough to travel with.
As with the standard MUA Lipsticks these also have a small pot of lipstick
at the bottom of the lipstick side of the duo.
The highlighter applicator is of your typical doe foot style,
I feel a brush would have worked better with the consistency of the highlighter.

OK.COM has to be the best name for any make-up product ever!
I remember when Alexandra Burke said it on x-factor and we all laughed/cringed
so I thought it was great that both MUA and Alexandra Burke took that title
and ran with it in a tongue in cheek manor!
OK.COM is the light nude shade lipstick option of the 8 shades
and light it is, on me it can look a little chalky and unflattering
but I would pair this with a pinky nude lip gloss to warm it a little.
I found the lipstick of OK.COM to be slightly peachy toned for a nude shade
but it does slightly teeter into the concealer type nude category on my skin tone.
The highlighter of this duo is such a pretty orange shade that I actually dislike myself for not rating it
but as before I found the highlighter to be hard to work with and very rough in texture.

You can utilize the Lip Boom's in four various ways:
1, The lipstick on it's own.
2, The highlighter on it's own.
3, The lipstick with just the highlighter on the middle of your lips.
4, The lipstick with the highlighter all over the lips.

Swatches are shown in suggested application order.

As mentioned I really didn't enjoy the texture of the highlighter as it is really gritty
and doesn't spread evenly on to the lips.
The lipstick however is great, applies well and evenly with full opaque colour.
Although the lipstick is matte it is comfortable to wear and does not dry the lips.
nor did I find it to cling to any dry patches of the lips.
The lipstick alone wore for close to four hours but if using the highlighter with it,
it does shorten the wear time by as much as two hours.
On a side note both lip products in the duo have a strong vanilla scent
which may be a little overbearing for some but the good news is that it is hardly detectable once worn.

I will buy the rest of these simply for the lipsticks alone as they are really well formulated
and a great matte lip option!
