The face of L'Oreal Caresse Sheer Lipstick is model Barbara Palvin,
truly stunning and a nice change from all the other celebrity spokeswomen.
You can view the a snippet of the new advert - here.
Much like the Revlon Lip Butters I will have a swatch gallery live early next week
so you can see the shades fully swatched.
I have noticed the recent trend of packaging sheer lipsticks in transparent and chrome casings
perhaps it is to hint at the formula inside being almost transparent too?
That aside the case is strong, sturdy and well constructed,
so much so that the lids are a little troublesome to remove at first.
On the lid is also a colour co-ordinated metallic/mirrored patch.
The L'Oreal Caresse Sheer Lipstick line has 12 shades in total so hopefully something for everyone.
Impulsive Fuchsia is a bright deep pink with a deep blue undertone.
It is one of the better pigmented shades in the line and should show up on most lip shades.
It reminds me very much of Mac Show Orchid and it is quite akin to
Revlon's Lip Butter in Lollipop so not a totally original shade but pretty enough.
The formula of L'Oreal Caresse Sheer Lipstick's is a cross section of lipstick and balm,
Comapred to Revlon Lip Butters generally speaking these have more pigment than the lip butters
and feel more like a lipstick rather than a balm.
What I can say is unlike a tinted lip balm these have a fair dose of pigment
so they do deliver in the colour pay off stakes, albeit it a little sheer compared to a normal lipstick.
They are also extremely soft and moisturising with a tendency to bleed,
so building up the shade's intensity can be a bit of an issue due to the bleeding.
That being said they are extremely comfortable to wear and have a light gloss finish.
In terms of wear I found this formula to last around 1-2 hours
but they can not withstand eating or drinking.
Product Summary
Round Up - A hybrid of lip balm and lipstick, these offer a light dose of colour while moisturising
and have a slight glossy finish.
Best For - An alternative to typical tinted lip balms.
Pigmentation - (7/10) Really impressive for what is a sheer product.
Availability - These are available online via Boots - link
both Superdrug and Boots stores have a 3 for 2 offer presently too! £7.99 each.

I picked up one of these recently too and find they don't last that long and actually leave my lips feeling dry! Much prefer the Revlon Lip Butters!
