The newest line to the L'Oreal brand is the Lumi Magique range
which each product being designed to light up the skin giving a glow within type of effect.
Radiance is the one thing I wish my skin had (that and invisible pores) so this range excites me greatly.
The L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighter Pen is sleekly packaged in a golden metal pen,
that looks far more sophisticated and expensive than anything else I have encountered on the high street,
of course it is going to draw similarities to the YSL version but as that is such a cult product
I'm sure most of us don't actually mind that aspect at all!
The product works by dispensing the liquid highlighter into the pen bristles/nib by turning up the base.
I found the nib perfect for delivering precise coverage without digging in your kit for a separate brush.
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighter Pen comes in three shades light, medium and dark.
I have shade light which is just a tad too pale for my skin tone even sticking by the buying
under eye concealer one shade too light.
Shade light has a slight pink undertone which helps to counter the darkness under the eye area.
This is not a matte formula but one with a slight shimmer but no glitter.
The shimmer is so fine that the camera does not pick it up but it is there,
in person the effect is very subtle which is something we all want when used under the eyes.
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighter Pen can also be used as a typical highlighter
and looks lovely blended on the top of the cheekbone area.
The formula of this highlighter is thick but easily blendable and not too thick for the under eye area.
I found it to apply really easily with or without the attached brush element.
On my eye area it highlighted and lightly concealed my under eye circles
but did not settle or crease which is paramount for me when it comes to an eye product.
The coverage is more medium than full but I found it powerful enough to hide light circles
all the while adding a little radiance and highlighting at the same time.
It gives the effect of refreshed and awakened eyes even if the truth is other wise!
I really enjoy the fact it does more than one job and is perfect for all those who rush in the morning,
even if you aren't in a rush it is nice to cut corners once in a while isn't it?
In terms of wear and lasting powder I used this without setting as I never set my under eye make-up
and it lasted 8 hours without creasing or settling into lines etc.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree with you on the whole cutting corners thing! Love products that are multipurpose but don't mean that you have to compromise on the effect. Anything that'll give me an extra 5mins in bed in the morning ;)
