until very recently I have pretty much avoided any lip product that was not a lip stick
and truly had a firm aversion to lip gloss!
Oh how times have changed...
Nars Lip Lacquers come packaged in dinky frost glass screw top jar,
it is simple yet classic and will never look dated but of course a lip product in a jar
is far removed from user friendly!
On the go touch up's can provide quite the dilemma and unless you have a lip brush or wet wipe handy
you will make a holy mess.
A personal side note - I hate the sensation of frosted glass!
Chelsea Girls is a light milky yellow toned pink peach shade.
It is neutral in tone and works equally well on it's own or layered over a lip shade.
On my bare lips this shade yields a milky yellow nude tone,
which is flattering on my skin tone believe it or not.
The shade is fairly sheer so it will work with your natural lip pigmentation
and provide a shade that is best suited to you.
This lip product has a gloss like product with a slight shimmer effect.
I'm not going to spin any lies and tell you that this is anything other than sticky,
because i'm not that kinda gal frankly!
Yes it is quite thick and rather sticky - so no naughty smooching the boyo's with this on ;)
but the formula is actually quite easy to work with as long as you use a lip brush.
It smears on evenly and provides a mid level of pigmentation - less than a lipstick more than a gloss,
although it is sticky it is moisturising and comfortable to wear
but you are aware of the product on your lips so if you need a light gloss this won't be ideal.
As with most gloss type products the wear time is fairly short lived,
I found Chelsea Girls to last up to around the two mark but that is without eating and drinking,
put that into the equation and you are looking around an hour or just slightly over.
Product Summary
Round Up - A milky nude type gloss like lip product.
Best For - Those who don't mind applying or wearing a thick lip product.
Pigmentation - (6/10) I found this to have slightly higher pigmentation than a typical gloss product.
Availability - Nars counters and website - link £17.50
