Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick Peach Mocha

Another continuation with my infatuation of the Maybelline Moisture Extreme formula.
I can't get enough of these lipsticks but sadly it looks like they are being phased out!
Why is it always the good formulas or shades that brands seem to be in a hurry to get rid of?
Answers on a post card to the usual address please.

Unlike the previous Moisture Extreme lipsticks this shade is encased in red plastic tube.
I have no idea which of the two cases is the newer of the two or what is really going on
as in my local Superdrug they have both the golden cases and the red ones.
Perhaps it depends on which shade you purchase?
Anyway much like the golden case it is nothing to behold visually
but more than does the job in terms of protecting the contents.

Peach Mocha is a red tinged brown, sadly not a hint of peach in sight.
It looks much deeper in bullet form than it applies.
As mentioned it does have a shot of brown which translates slightly yellow in tone
resulting in the over all shade being neutral.
Once applied it appears sheerer and transforms to a slightly brown strawberry red tone.
It is a nice spin on a red shade, it's muted so those who fear bold red lips may favour this shade?
It gives the effect of my lips but better with a high gloss finish.

Maybelline Extreme Moisture Lipsticks glide on like nothing else I own,
well maybe a lip butter or two
but none of my lipsticks glide on as smoothly and as softly as this does.
Not only is the moisture levels out of this world but the pigmentation makes the grade too.
I found this lipstick to deliver great colour pay off in one clean swipe
and did not find it to bleed, feather or apply patchy.
Once applied it has a lovely glossy finish that means you can skip the gloss if you so wish.
The only kicker so to speak with this lipstick is that it doesn't last as long as I'd hoped for.
On average I get around two hours of wear from each application,
which isn't a problem for a habitual re-applier but worth noting if you require a long lasting formula.
