China Glaze Secret Peri-Winkle is a dusky lilac polish that has a strong blue tone.
I would describe it as a bluebell blue thus deeming it to be more a blue shade than lilac.
Secret Peri-Winkle is a crème formula and dries to a glossy high sheen finish.
In my swatch photo's I have used two coats and it is streak free.
With a good top coat I find China Glaze polishes to easy last around 5 days
with only minimal tip wear if any.
I bought this as it looked to be a dupe for my much loved and now deceased
Gosh Lavender Love, sorry I can't do a comparison post due to it being finished.
Sadly as online descriptions and swatches can be a little off (no-ones fault lighting is a cruel mistress)
China Glaze Secret Peri-Winkle is not in fact a dupe at all, it is more blue and duskier
and simply lacks the wow factor that Lavender Love possessed.
I just find Secret Peri-Winkle a little meh!

ReplyDeleteI bought a few things from etude (a primer and a bb cream) and was really disappointed by the quality so I have never used it again but thanks for showing me the polish :)
DeleteIt looks a bit palma violety but bluer if that makes sense. Not a colour I would usually go for but it looks gorgeous on you

ReplyDeleteI'm not really a fan of blue-ish nail polishes but this is absolutely gorgeous! And a slightly odd compliment but your nails are a really nice shape, haha :)

ReplyDeleteSecrets Of A Trolley Dolly.
While dropping off my younger sister to school my Uncle and I got into an argument about whether a car was Purple or Perriwinkle. My sister thought it was Perriwinkle as well and this nail polish proves it! Adrienne, solver of family dilemmas!
ReplyDeleteI guess if it's a bluebelle blue then I guess I will have to give it a go :)
