I very seldom religiously repurchase anything,
I'm always worried that there is something better to be had
and enjoying searching for new and exciting products.
That being said I do have a few firm favourites that I don't really sway from
and The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream is one such product!
My mum is an avid user of The Body Shops Vitamin E range, I favour the Sea Weed range
but one day last year after much nagging from my mother I decided to test the Vitamin E eye cream
and instantly I was converted!
The little tube claims to reduce appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.
I don't sleep much - around 3 hours a night if I am lucky at that moments
so my eyes are often puffy, have bags and are not shy of a black circle or ten.
I can not vouch personally for the fine line aspect but it does an amazing job of
reducing the puffiness, calming the skin and somehow keeps the black circles minimal.
Of course when you don't sleep the circle element will never fully disappear
but I do notice a vast improvement when I use this compared to when I don't.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream is most definitely a cream,
a thick luxurious cream that feels like velvet on the delicate eye area
and yet absorbs instantly with contact of the skin.
It feels light and soft, never heavy nor does it make the eye area feel tight nor uncomfortable.
Another selling point for me is that it is unscented, my eyes are particularly sensitive
and often stream or become agitated if a product is scented.
I can happily report that my eye and eye area love this product!
You can pick this up from The Body Shop for £9.50/15ml - link
This is my sister's favourite, I think I need to try it out soon! I'm currently using their Elderflower gel and I quite like it ;)
ReplyDeleteFunny that is what I want to try next :) do you recommend it?
DeleteWow this sounds great, i have a problem with bags! </3
ReplyDeleteThey are super annoying aren't they :(
DeleteI too favour the seaweed range however I have been using this and the Aloe Eye defense from TBS and found that to be an amazing product too. I use this more during the day and the eye defense at night and my eyes always feel more awake in the morning after using :) x
ReplyDeleteOh I will pick that up, it sounds great :) thank you for the heads up :)
DeleteI use this eye cream and it's lovely, good for applying under concealer too! xx
ReplyDeleteOh fab :) I have got to start slapping on the concealer soon :(
DeleteI love the Vitamin E range and I've been wondering whether I should try this. Great review :) xx
ReplyDeleteYes I really do recommend it :) it is lovely :)
Deletethank you :)
I really want to try this! I'll order next time they have a voucher code floating about!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't suppose you'd be interested in buying a Clarisonic Mia? I'm selling one on my blog, it'd be great if you could check it out! Here's a link: http://daisy--meadow.blogspot.com/ xxx
Great idea :) TBS always have codes and discounts so you won't be waiting long :)
DeleteForget the eye cream - only 3 hours sleep a night?! You poor thing! Is it because you're too busy or have trouble getting to sleep? If it's the latter I can highly recommend getting hold of some good quality lavender oil and popping a few drops on your pillow before you go to bed. I found it makes it easier to drop off & also improves the quality of what little sleep you do get :)
ReplyDeleteLuckily or not so luckily haha it is the latter, I go through little phases of not being able to sleep. It phases out eventually but for the moment I am like the walking dead :( thank you for the tip I have essential pure lavender oil so I shall do that tonight :) thank you!
DeleteAw! How can you manage on only 3hrs sleep? I have to get at least 8 or I can't function. Good on you!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds lovely! I'm also skeptical when it comes to eye creams, but it's great that this one helps. :)
This is random, but would you mind telling me some of your fave cream shadows? (Looking to get some new ones) Also, do you know of any dupes for the new L'Oreal cream shadows? :) Thanks!!!
I'm just having a tough time sleeping at the moment but it will pass :)
Deletealways does...
I don't really wear cream shadow enough to comment sadly, the only two I own and use are Mac Paint Pots but I have heard that the Maybelline Color tattoo's are amazing :)
I'm a great fan of TBS Vitamine E Moisture Serum, it is one of my skinsavers during cold winterdays.
ReplyDeleteOnly 3 hours of sleep? Oh God, I would be able to, I NEED at least 8 hours...!
* WOULDN't I mean ofcourse :-)
DeleteOh I think my mum has that I may steal a squirt haha :)
Deletehaha that's okay I knew what you meant :)
I know i'm exhausted but still can't sleep argh!
This looks great. I may invest in preperation for the next toddler sleep strike!
ReplyDeleteI've become obsessed with eye cream after using the Boots cucumber eye gel, may have to try this next! x

I use the Body Shop Vitamin E range but hve not yet tried the eye cream. I'll have to check it out. x
ReplyDeleteI am definitely gonna give this a go, sounds just what I need at the moment! X
ReplyDeleteHurrr. I think I must be the only person in the world without an eye cream. At all. Like...any. I have fine lines and bags from lack of sleep. I need to start using it before it's too late but i'm so laaaazy.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds promising! I've been using a generic of L'oreal night eye creamy (it's very thick). I think it's good for night, but had been using am and pm, I'm going to have to pick this up:)
ReplyDeleteI used the Elderflower all through high school and really liked it as well.
