Am I the only one who struggles with red lipstick? I sometimes feel they are more hassle than they are worth, with all the smudging and smearing although I do enjoy having a rose red pout!
Look Beauty Cherry Bomb lipstick is a deep blue tinged red in bullet form it looks much deeper and cherry toned than how it applies which is slightly disappointing as I bought it in hopes of having a vampy cherry stained pout! Once on the lips/skin it is a true red with blue undertones the great thing about having a blue toned red is that it helps to make your teeth appear that bit whiter, which is always an added bonus.
I've spoke a few times about Look Beauty Lipsticks so I shall keep my spiel about the packaging to a bare minimum! Basically all you need to know is that it is the brain child of Look Magazine, a percentage of every sale goes to The Look Good Feel Better Charity and each item is packaged in pretty boxes adorned with an Ashley Isham print. Each lipstick comes in silver sharp geometrical packaging that close with a magnetic closure, really handy when you are in a rush as they just snap shut. They are not the daintiest of lipsticks but they look the part
and are easy to grip due to their size.
The colour pay off of Look Beauty Loud Lipsticks are fair and buildable so if you prefer a bolder lip you can apply more layers. As it is a red shade which are notoriously difficult I do suggest lining your lips beforehand to avoid and prevent feathering and bleeding of the shade. I find that Look Beauty Loud Lipsticks each have a light sheen finish and are fairly moisturising to wear, they glides on with ease and feels light on the lips. In terms of wear I get around 3 hours of wear before needing to re-apply. One thing I should so to speak warn you about is the that these lipsticks are rather scented it is not a horrid scent by any means - sugary sweet/vanilla type of fragrance,I don't notice it once applied nor can I taste it through out the day but worth noting if that sort of thing can make or break a purchase decision.

aww thank you so much that is so kind :), a few have said that which is so disappointing! If you can check out the small superdrugs too as that's where I found mine x
DeleteAll the stuff I've seen for the Look beauty range so far looks so good. It's a shame they don't stock it in more stores/online. Fingers crossed! The top of my want list is the nail pop "ribbons" and now this lipstick. xx
ReplyDeleteI agree it is such a shame it is not better stocked, ribbons is lovely :) x
DeleteDespite what beauty experts say, I dislike blue toned lipsticks on my tanned skin. I much prefer orange based reds. I definitely used to struggle with the color but it's really become a favorite of mine now. :3 Stick with it! It looks totally great on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) but i'm with you I much prefer orange based reds too they suit me better overall. My personal favourite is Mac So Chaud x
DeleteI really like this, i've got one of the Look nail varnishes and it's so good! i'm going to have to try some more stuff from this range :)

DeleteThis looks like such a gorgeous colour, i'm still not brave enough to rock a bright lip unless i'm on a night out! Where about's did you get your Look Beauty products from? I haven't seen it anywhere yet! x
ReplyDeleteOh ditto I don't do bright lips daily, I get mine from Clydebank :) x
DeleteOnce again, love your photos! Love your blog! Gorgeous lipstick too! x
ReplyDeleteaww thank you so much :) x
DeleteReds are so much hassle! I've always heard that orange-based reds were better for me, but I find that the pink-based reds are better for my tone! I started using Mac Redd lipliner and Perpetual Flame lipstick and it was a perfect true red for me. Then when I top it with Revlon lip gloss in Bordeaux and it darkens the red just a tad. I love this combo so much, I think I need a back up of the gloss, since I've been wearing the combo all week!
ReplyDeleteThat combo sounds really lovely :) I find if you mix your own custom shade like you have it is so much more flattering than a standard red straight from a tube :) x
DeleteThis shade looks like a lovely red! Wish my Superdrug stocked Look beauty range! x
