You may have come to notice that I like Mango scented products,
I just find it such a soft and pleasant smell that I can't seem to resist!
Anyway with winter well and truly playing havoc with the majority of our skins,
I thought I'd share my recent to go to body butter which costs less than the Body Shop version.
Much like the typical body butters you find in The Body Shop etc,
Boots Extracts Body Body Butters come housed in round plastic jars
with a co-ordinating coloured screw on lid,
these tubs make great storage solutions for Kirby grips and other small items when empty.
After a shower and just before bed I like to slather this body butter on paying special attention
to my typical dry skinned areas - knees, elbows and feet in case you are curious.
The body butter itself is thick, creamy and luxurious not to mention it is heavenly scented
(this one smells just like mango yoghurt...yum!)
although it is extremely thick in texture it sinks and melts into the skin with first contact.
You also only need a tiny amount per application as a little goes a long way!
There is no faffing around waiting for it to dry nor is there any oily or nasty residue left behind.
Yes it is scented but not so much so that it is over powering
nor does it interfere or alter with any other scent you may apply.
The best part?
It is made from Fair Trade ingredients so you can soften your body with a clear conscience.
It costs £7.92 for a huge 200ml tub.
(For my images I have used a mini tub due to proportions with the Mango fruit.)
You can also purchase co-ordination Mango items such as a body scrub etc from the Extracts line.
Mmmm.. I love anything Mango!

@frecklie - glad i'm not alone :) x
ReplyDeleteI love all the props you use in your posts, so cute haha! Although I am rather worried about what you're going to come up with for your Naked 2 post... hahahha.
ReplyDeleteohh i have this body butter and its absolutely amazing! i managed to ab mine as part of a set in the boots sale, but even at £7odd i think its better than body shop all around!
ReplyDeletewish they did an orange scent, thats my absolute fave :)
Hehehe :) Great that you have a real mango next to it. I never used a mango body butter. Always buy cocoa :) But I love to eat mango so maybe I should give this a try :D
ReplyDelete@saz - a nudist beach haha jokes or am I? x
ReplyDelete@victoria - I wanted the set so badly but the mango was sold out :( ah I love orange scents too! x
@tugba - aww thank you so much :) yes if you love mangos I think you'd enjoy it! x
This is my favourite body butter! I also have most of the other scents Boots Extracts has to offer and my next favourite is Brazil Nut. It smells like chocolate, fudge and vanilla, without being sickly sweet x
ReplyDeleteI bet this smells delicious! xx
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely! Anything Mango scented is great :)
ReplyDeleteI like mango too! I bought my mum the full body shop mango set for christmas last year and that smelled like yogurt too! xxx
ReplyDeleteI have a mango and papaya one from Superdrug and it's lushhh!! Really thick and gorgeous :) Just bought my first Body Shop body butter though, only a fiver online at the moment, very excited!

I love anything mango too!!! We have a homegrown mango butter product I could let you try if you are up for a beauty swap! :D
ReplyDeleteI have only recently bought my first ever The Body Shop body butters and honestly, I'm not sure I believe the hype. I have dry to extremely dry skin and yes, the texture is amazing and it smells very lovely, but is it really worth the price tag? I have found some very similar body butters at my local dollar store and if I remember well, they were around $2 but because I have so many to use up first, I was hesitant to give them a try, but you really make me want to!
ReplyDelete@louise - I have that one too and your description is spot on :) the only one I dislike from the range is the bermot one...yuck! x
ReplyDelete@mldvs- you are so right :) x
@vintage make-up - you couldn't be more right :) x
@amy - ah your lucky mumma :) x
@angie - oh that sounds yummy I may have to purchase one, really that is great I may buy one :) thanks for the heads up! x
@kumiko mae - it's such a delish scent :) yes I would be but not until around April as I have a few on atm :) x
@GABY - I kinda get where you are coming from :) I won't purchase TBS ones at full price as I think £12 for a body butter is ridiculous but our equivalent of the dollar shops has nothing you want to slap on your body...trust me haha!
The Brazil Nut scent is my favourite from this range...although it makes me feel compelled to eat body butter which is probably a bad thing...xx
ReplyDeleteI love Mango scented products too... it reminds me so much of the warmer summer days!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging reminds me of the body shop! I haven't tried this one yet but I love mango so will be keeping an eye out for it! xo

I really want to try this! It looks great and I LOVE anything Mango-scented!
ReplyDeleteAlso, do you want to buy a Clarisonic Mia? I have one for sale on my blog, if you could check it out, that'd be great! xx
I usually don't steer away from my Body Shop butters, but the texture of this looks heavenly!
