MUA PRO - Glamour Nights Palette - Review

Glamour Nights is the last of the recently released palettes from MUA . Like I said yesterday I didn't really pay much notice to the two Glamour palettes in fact I forgot all about them until browsing the MUA Stand in Superdrug. To the best of my knowledge these haven't made it on to Superdrug's website but now seems like as good a time as any to mention that MUA have launched their own webpage/online store - www.muastore.co.uk

Like yesterdays Pro Palette this again comes with no blurb on the back to describe the palette, I see it as the night time version of the Glamour Day Palette. This doesn't come with many neutral shades instead it concentrates on evening shades such as deep forest greens and glitter a plenty.

Glamour Nights has seven matte shades and five shimmer/frost finish eyeshadows. The majority of the palette is constructed of deep smokey eye type shades, at a quick glance the majority of this palette is new shades that don't feature in the other palettes. Some shades may be fairly similar though!

As with the other MUA Pro Pallettes I have tested in the past the eyeshadows are well pigmented with the matte shades slightly faltering. The matte shades are ever so slightly chalky but I really do find that norm in large palettes, Sleek are also guilty of this. The shimmer based shades swatch metallic and are really soft so do go easy or you will end up with clumps and/or a smashed up eyeshadow shade. In terms of wear these shades do fair so much better with a primer.

PRODUCT SUMMARY

Round Up - A palette full of deep shades with the odd bright shade thrown in for good measure. This palette is more niche than the rest of the Pro Palettes.

Pigmentation - (7/10- 5/10) The shimmer shades have far better pigmentation and can pack quite a punch, the matte shades do seem to be a little weaker and can be ever so slightly chalky.

Wear/Formula - With a primer these shadows last a full 8 hours with ease, without around the 5 hour mark. Generally speaking the frosty/shimmer shades are soft and better pigmented with the matte shades being the opposite.

Best For - Those seeking a palette that caters to night time looks, think dark shades with a sprinkle of glitter here and there.

Availability - As I earlier mentioned this is not yet on the Superdrug website (unless I am blind) but you can pick it up in selected Superdrug stores or via www.muastore.co.uk , £4
