This is the second part of the collection and perhaps the four shades I favour the most.
I bought the following four shades as part of a mini set called "Santa's Little Helpers" which are mini polishes however at 9.5ml per bottle they are hardly mini in fact they are bigger than some brands full size polishes. This set cost me £12.49 and again was bought from Sally's.
Ring in the Red - Is a semi sheer red glitter polish, the base is almost clear but due to the volume of glitter after three coats it does form a red finish. Unlike some glitter polishes the glitter varies in size from tiny little specks to large chunks which gives it an interesting finish. This is quite gritty and like I said sheer so you will need a top coat at least three coats to achieve a semi-opaque finish. A close dupe is Barry M's Red Glitter.
China Glaze Tinsel Town - I want to start by saying this is my favourite polish from the whole collection of 12! China Glaze Tinsel Town is a gun metal silver glitter polish and like Ring in the Red it is constructed of large and small chunks of silver glitter. This polish is really opaque after two coats and the overall effect is quite spectacular, it almost looks like nail art. I really do like this shade.
China Glaze Icicle - On first inspection this looks like a bog standard metallic silver polish but if you look closely you can see tiny little specks of minuscule silver glitter. Two coats gives an opaque finish and this shade particulary dries quickly. A good dupe is Rimmel's Your Majesty.
Velvet Bow - Is a deep berry red not to dissimilar from Nails Inc Victoria. There is something sophisitcated and grown up. If glitter isn't for you then you may enjoy this polish, I applied two coats and no top coat and achieved an opaque yet glossy finish.
The mini sized bottle kits are great for those who want to try selected shades but don't want to commit to full sized bottles. It would also make a lovely gift for Christmas. Overall I really like China Glaze nail polishes they apply well and have a great formula.
