"Our mini kit for a 'quickie' tan...so natural looking, nobody will know it came from a box"
I bought this mainly out of curiosity, I have never tried some Kind-a Gorgeous nor Bad Gal Lash Mascara and as this little kit had such a tiny price tag of £9 or £7 if you use a student discount code on ASOS, I figured now would be the best time to sample such products!
Tan About Town consists of three deluxe samples all of which are cutely packaged in miniature versions of the famous packaging. You will get quite a few usages out of each sample and they are the perfect size for travel.
Some Kind-a Gorgeous Foundation, Medium, 1.8g - I'm so shocked at how closely this matches my skin tone in the swatch all you can see is wetness that is how close it mimics my tone..wow! I love the shade but not so much the formula, I find it to be a little to wet and don't find it to offer enough coverage. A little does go a long way so I think you may be pleasantly surprised to how far this little sample stretches. It's a same they only offer one shade of foundation with these little kits as this will not suit anything paler nor darker than a NC35/37.
Hoola, 3g - I have used Hoola before but never got round to replacing my lost box. Hoola is a mid toned brown that is easily buildable. Hoola can be used as an all over bronzer or to contour as it is Matte. The powder is soft and silky and a breeze to blend, having this sample reminded me of how much I actually miss having the full size version. If you have medium toned skin this is the perfect bronzer for you..trust me on that one!
Bad Gal Lash Mascara, 4.0g- This mascara is mediocre, not the worst mascara I have experienced nor the best. I found the large brush a pain to use but appreciated that the bristles where not plastic for a change. It didn't do much for my eyelashes meaning I didn't experience anything noticeable in terms of length or volume, towards the end of the day I did experience some flaking.
Round Up - A trio of deluxe samples from Benefit that can be used to achieve a natural tan look.
Best For - On the basis of the foundation shade I would suggest this particular kit for medium skin tones. This kit would be great for those that travel a lot or anyone who keeps emergency make-up in the car or office.
Availability - Asos or Benefit UK only for £9.
nine pounds doesn't sound bad for a tester kit, may try it out.

I want to try this for the foundation but have bought benefit sample kits before and the medium has been too dark for my skin. I love badgal lash though! x

I almost bought a similar kit but decided against it. I'm glad because I would probably only benefit from the Hoola and I just bought my first NARS bronzer (in the Danmari palette) so that's kind of moot. But WOW WOW WOW seriously that foundation matches your skintone. I wished you liked the formula better, I love a good color match.
ReplyDelete@amy - agreed :) its a lovely starter or tester kit :) x
ReplyDelete@Jade- that is a shame, they should offer it in other shade options so light skin and dark skinned gals can buy it! x
@eden- money saved :) what bronzer did you get? I'm thinking of picking up casino soon but idk haha! Yes the match is amazing! Formula meh haha x
This makes me really want to purchase hoola now!
ReplyDeleteI dont like the look of the foundation, it does look pretty wet :S
