W 'n' W Walking On Eggshells with Mac and UD Naked Dupes

I'm currently working on a huge categorised swatch gallery for you lovely lot and in order to do that, I have to swatch like a mad woman. I'm working my way the huge stack of wet 'n' wild palettes I have acquired over the last few weeks and for your viewing I have Walking On Eggshells, which I have to say is personal favourite.

Walking On Eggshells is constructed of three neutral shades which in my opinion are cool toned each labelled with their intended use so you can create a fuss free eye look, that's not to said that you can't switch it up and apply the shadow where ever you choose.

This palette is well pigmented and one light swipe is all that is really required to produce a decent swatch. The colours work well together and there's is very minimal fall out. It's also great to have a mix of formulations in the palette some are more matte than others. I'd go as far as saying this is one of the better neutral palettes I have had the joy of swatching, the colours work well togther, the shadows are pigmented and very easy to blend. What more do you need?

On to the section i'm sure most came to see? The dupes, this palette seems to have a few decent ones for each shade.

The top shade (the light pearl white) is the easiest to dupe and will be a shade most will have in some form or other. It's closest to Urban Decay's Virgin than it is to Mac's Nylon but like I said its a shade that most will have somewhere.

The middle shade is closest to Mac's Woodwinked but if you only own the Urban Decay Naked palette then Sidecar is your best bet although it is somewhat more glittery/shimmery.

The last shade is beautiful but that aside its dupes are Urban Decays Sin and Mac's All that Glitters. I'd buy this palette again based on the last shadow.

I've been asked to list the sellers I use to buy my palettes from eBay but in all honesty I don't tend to go back to the same seller my advice would be to shop around, find a good deal and check the eBayers feedback before buying.

  1. Thanks for these swatches babe, really helpful. I was contemplating getting walking on eggshells but i happen to have all the dupes so i'll leave them. especially since these palettes aren't as cheap here as they are in uk and us.

  2. I *love* this palette. I pretty much own every W'n'W trio (aside from four maybe? which are all brights/pastels) and think they're pretty amazing. I've considered getting rid of a lot of my MAC shadows which just don't live up to some of these. I thought it was just hype...I look forward to your next post!xx

  5. I have been seeing these Wet & Wild palettes on like every blog, however my 1st time actually reading what is said about them. The colors are so similar, I wanna get this. Finally have the Naked palette however, that's just huge to take with me every where. This compact size, cute.

  6. Like Lilit, I either own all the dupes or I have dupes of the dupes. With that said - not sure I could pull this off. Cool toned eyeshadows tend to give me a hard time.
