W 'n' W Sweet as Candy with Mac Dupe

I am sure you are all aware that I'm currently working on a huge categorised swatch gallery (don't worry normally blogging will still commence) for you lovely lot and in order to do that, I have to swatch like a mad woman. I'm working my way the huge stack of wet 'n' wild palettes I have acquired over the last few weeks and for your viewing I have Sweet as Candy.

Sweet as Candy is constructed of two neutral shades and a pale frosty pink all of the shades in my opinion are neutral toned (neither warm nor cool) each labelled with their intended use so you can create a fuss free eye look, that's not to said that you can't switch it up and apply the shadow where ever you choose.

This palette is fairly well pigmented and one light swipe is all that is really required to produce a decent swatch. The colours work well together and there's is very minimal fall out. This palette has a mixture of formulas but the pink shade is really frosty and not really my thing.

This palette didn't provide many dupes. I thought the pink shade was going to be a great dupe for Mac's Pink Venus but I was rather wrong that being said the brown/taupe is a dead ringer for Mac's Satin Taupe.

I've been asked to list the sellers I use to buy my palettes from eBay but in all honesty I don't tend to go back to the same seller my advice would be to shop around, find a good deal and check the eBayers feedback before buying.

  7. I bought 3 of the W & W trio palettes from the US and I'm impatiently waiting for them to arrive. I bought Walking on Eggshells, Sweet as Candy and Silent Treatment. I can't wait to start wearing them. I also have a few other smaller trios from W & W which I like Mink and a blue and purple palette and I really like the quality of the shadows. I do have to wear an eye primer but that's because my eyelids get oily and I find the W & W shadows stay put longer than creme shadow from Benefit, Bourjois and any of my ELF palettes.

W & W is fantastic and I contacted them a while ago and they said they're relauching in Europe and soon these palettes will be available in the UK (but between you and I) I didn't want to wait any longer so I ordered from the US.

  10. I just bought 5 of these eye shadow kits at my local Target here in the states. They cost about 1.85 GBP each. I am very excited to have 15 new eyeshadows for less than the cost of 1 Mac shadow. They're all very exciting colours too!
