Topshop Lip Polishes

I bought these after trying my friends and being pleasantly surprised at the pigmentation and lack of stickiness and oh they smell like my favourite thing ever...Mac Lipsticks mmm! I picked these up on Gem's blog sale so I got a really pretty set of products for a few penny's...WIN!

I'll be honest i'm not a fan of the white packaging it collects dirt and fingerprints like nobody's business, think Nars packaging but in white and you'll have the right idea/nightmare. Each polish comes with a handy little mirror in the inside of the lid and each have 3.5g of product.

The formula is super duper, its like a gloss but has all the pigmentation of a top performing lipstick. Now I HATE lipgloss, I hate the feeling on my lips and how everything including the neighbors dog sticks to it. But these I can get on board with, I get to have super glossy lips but not feel like my lips are smeared in yucky honey (another thing on my ever growing hate list). These apply so easily, I quickly popped them on using my finger but a lip brush would work wonders with them too.

Chiffon is a pale bubblegum pink that has fine gold shimmer particles thrown in the mix. In some lights it reflects a blue undertone which helps to make teeth look whiter/brighter. Compared to the other shades this has the least pigmentation and is the sheerest of all three. I think Chiffon is a great shade for everyday wear, it's one of those shades you can throw in a bag and slick on anywhere/everywhere and know it will never look out of place.

Iced Coffee has to be my favourite of all three of the shades as its the type of shade I seem to favor. Iced Coffee is a brown based nude shade that leans slightly pink it has no glitter or shimmer and is incredibly pigmented. Iced Coffee is extremely flattering and reminds me of a darker version of Mac's See Sheer (well on my lips anyways) with extra gloss. If you like nude shades I say check this out.

Coral is well a coral shade, what did you expect haha! It leans more pink than red with a blue under tone and is very pigmented. I don't really do bold lips for everyday wear so I only applied a little and sheered it out on my lips, the swatch on my inner arm is accurate shade wise though! Like Iced Coffee this has no shimmer or glitter but just a high glossy finish.

Apart from the white finger print grabbing packaging I am really impressed with Topshop make up, what about you?

p.s my blogger is being super slow and not displaying my posts until a good few hours after I have posted.

  8. These look really lovely, quite moisturising? I will definitely be picking some up next time I'm in the UK. I can see that the white would get grubby quickly but I like the polka dots- they should have reversed the colours tho! xx

  22. Oh those are so pretty! I'm glad you feel the same way about the packaging. I bought some lipsticks, and they had red all over them by the time I was doing having a play with them! I don't understand the idea behind white packaging like that!
