After being really enamored by the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette I decided to revisit the MUA Pro stand and pick up a few goodies. One of the things that really caught my eye was the Starry Night eyeshadow palette.
I really love the colour choices in this palette, it's so luxe looking and yes it really does capture the theme of the title, Starry Night. I know this sounds odd but the shades somehow say magic/magical to me, like the shades have fallen straight out of a fairy tale full of princesses, wizards and unicorns? No? Okay i'll move on then haha!
The packaging is nothing fancy but it does the job nicely and thanks to the clear lid you can see the shades housed inside, never a bad thing in my opinion. It's plain and functional and lives up to the 'Pro' expectations.
The actual shadows are well pigmented and buttery soft, resulting in effortless blending and application. The shades compliment one and other really well so you can easily create a lovely eye look as the range of shades give you highlight, crease and eyelid options.
The only downsides I can see is that all the shades are of the frost finish family meaning matte lovers may want to skip this. The other problem may be for those heavy handed ladies, if you press too hard the shadows will shatter. If we are really picky it may annoy some that the shades have no names but that's
just me and probably not something that will irk the majority.
