Yes I know it sounds like something that you roll on your lips to stop them smelling, well its really not. The Body Shop Lip Roll On 100% Natural Oil is a lip treatment, a lip oil if you will.
I basically bought these due to curiosity and the fact The Body Shop was having a sale. After smelling all the available options (I warn you now some are sickly sweet and the mint version smells nothing like mint) I settled on the Rose and Coconut versions as they were the softest in scent. The scent disappears fairly quickly so don't let that put you off.
The lip roll ons are oil that you roll on your lips, i'm sure we have all came across some cheap roll on lip glosses in our time? Well these apply exactly the same way, you roll the silver ball across your lips and a thin veil of product is dispersed.
The oil itself is thin and not to greasy at all, in fact its quite comfortable to wear if that makes any sense. They product also applies clear. If you wear lipstick on top of your normal balm then this isn't the best choice for you as I found the oil makes the lipstick apply very patchy indeed. The best way I found to use these is just before bed as an over night lip treatment.
I didn't find the oils to be healing in any way but they do leave the lips feeling very soft and like I said they are a nice bed time addition or great to pop in a bag as an emergency lip balm. Please say i'm not the only one who has an emergency lip balm?
They are currently on offer in The Body Shop at the moment for £3.

these look like a Blistex product we have in the states!
ReplyDeleteI have balms stashed everywhere "just in case" so I totally get what you mean about emergency balms!
ReplyDeletei so want to try these, but it's too bad that they don't do much to heal.

I have the berry version of these in my handbag, and I absolutely love it! I tend to only use healing lip balms overnight anyway so it doesn't matter to me that it isn't healing. I love the smell and the feel of wearing the lip oils :) xxx
