W7 Honolulu

I'll be honest for a girl that likes to tan so much be it sunbathing or slapping on the old faithful St.Tropez, I have an odd aversion to Bronzer. This is because most are really orange based or just make you look dirty and not the good kind of dirty either.

Step up Honolulu bronzer by W7 which costs a measly £1.99! Honolulu (seriously considering naming my first child this? No he'll get bullied?) is housed in a square box which is really sturdy and will survive in the most roughest of handbags (mine is like a war zone) and comes complete with a little brush. Now I know oh so many people like a good moan about the brushes that come with any make up purchase but this one is okay and actually quite good at applying the powder to the cheekbones before blending.

Why do I consider Honolulu to be the savior of the bronzing world? Pure and simple (pretty sure Kim Marsh and co just got a royalty for me typing that!) look at the colour. It's a great brown shade that leans olive not orange but OLIVE! This means you won't look dirty nor orange like a cheap hooker. As its matte formula you can use it to contour or as an all over bronzer.

Like I said it is matte in formula and a mid tan shade which wont be suitable for anyone NC/NW 35+ as it only just shows up on my NC35ish skin. The powder is really soft but not so soft that there is a lot of fall out. The bronzer is rather pigmented so this little box will last you a good while.

A few have compared this to Benefits Hola bronzer which I don't actually own but just for shits and giggles i've compared it to Benefits Dallas which is clearly more pink based, I as told Dallas is to give you a naughty cow girl glow. Never meet a cowgirl or cowboy for that matter so I can't possibly comment!

  9. Hi hun, I've got Honolulu too (no, you cannot name your child this!) and love it! I've also got Hoola, they compare really well but Hoola is slightly lighter. I've done a post on it in the past if you want to check it out... i won't linkbomb you, LOL, you know where to find me :-)

  11. xD I don't think a boy named Honolulu would survive my dear. I like this a bunch on you, but like you said - it wouldn't show up on my skin. Thanks for the review! Now go think up better child names!

  13. It seems to be a good bronzer :P I like ELF Bronzing powder in Sunkissed... It's great for fair skintones (I use NC20 foundation) and it has not an orange, but a golden undertone: not brown, not orange.

    Nice blog :)

  14. Wah, awesome find!! Yes, finding bronzers can be tricky when some do make the face look muddy. And for such a great price? Love!

  18. Saw this online after you'd shown us the Africa one by w7 it's clearly just trying to benefit with the box and obviously nearly the same name as hoola! But what the hell! Why would you buy this blusher for £2 rather than forking out for benefits £23 ones!! Thank you I think I shall be purchasing this!! Xx

  19. KK I'm loving these W7 blushes. I think I want them all. Hmm maybe I should add some more items to our swap. LMAO. I have a few of the benefit blushes and they're okay. I just feel that they're a little expensive but these are just as cute. Thanks for the swatches. Wish they were available in the U.S. :/
