Mac Semi Precious Part 2 (MSF's and Gem of Roses Lipstick) Review and Swatches

The gods truly are smiling on me today its not even four o'clock and my Mac delivery is here! Anyways I have a lot to get through today so expect three posts all in, its just to much Mac for one blog post to handle! Anyways below is some more Mac Semi Precious Swatches and a few reviews enjoy...

The MSFs that came today reminded me why I fell in love with them originally. Yes essentially the lighter ones are just glorified highlighting products but man the ones that are more blush/bronzer hued really do make me giddy. You see they highlight and add a beautiful shade to the cheeks and make you look like you've swallowed a 100 watt light bulb, its glow from the inside out I live for baby! Try them and you'll see what I mean either that or you'll come away thinking I'm as mad as a box of frogs!

Rose Quartz MSF is well rose in shade (what did you expect) with a minty green center, make describe it as pink champagne (they describe everything as champagne) with a dirty green center which its not the pink shade is most definitely a warm mid toned pink that will suit the majority of light to medium toned skins as its not too cool nor warm toned that anyone is isolated that being said sadly if you are dark it will just be a highlighting product or a super large eyeshadow duo! There is no solid glitter in this MSF just light shimmer particles that reflect light not make a mockery of your large pores (yes I'm clearly talking about myself here).

When I first saw this I was like oh feck its just a larger Giggly blush (Quite Cute Collection) but luckily its not overly similar that being said if you are watching the penny's or not a huge fan of pink blushes you can happily skip this if you already own Giggly.

In all honesty Goldstone is my favourite MSF out of the bunch it works so well with a tan (don't worry that counts a tan that came from a bottle), it gives a glowy and sun kissed look that most of us are after this time of the year. Again the Mac description fails it, in no way is it a rosy pink, its a warm yellow based bronze tan shade with a light pink center. This one does have glitter particles but don't worry they are minuscule and suitable on even the largest of pores. I don't recommend this for pale skinned girls as it may be just a bit too much and come across as orange toned rather than beach babe bronze. I'd say this is better suited to the NC/NW 25+ gals of the world.

Gem of Roses is such a beautiful and easy to wear shade. Mac have hit it on the head when the say its a strawberry pink, yes its mid tone but I'd say its most definitely a pinky brown and quite close in shade to Bobbi Brown's Powder Pink. Its such a universal and flattering shade that I suggest you don't overlook it but go in store and swatch it as I can see the majority of people loving it as an everyday/work lip colour.
Stay tuned for the Semi-Precious Blushes just coming up!
