Mac Semi Precious Swatches and Review Part 1 and Winner

This is only part one of my semi precious haul hopefully my other goodies will get here tomorrow but we shall see, I've probably pissed of DHL with my ranting that they've dumped my boxes in the River Clyde or used my make up as face paint! I joke workers of DHL should you be reading this I love you really ;). Anywhooo on to my first Semi Precious review with lots of lovely swatches!

Does anyone else get inexplicably excited when Mac bring out new MSF's? Me too!! However when you think about it most are just fancy highlighting products with a few being a shimmery blush, ah well they are super pretty so I don't feel too bad.

Crystal Pink is a light beige pink with a deeper pink and bronze center, though Mac do describe this as a Champagne shade. This is most definitely a highlighter and I don't think anyone could use it for any other purpose, well maybe an eyeshadow but that's your donald duck. Crystal Pink is soft with no heavy chunks of glitter so it will be ideal for those with large pores. Crystal pink may look a little odd on warm skin tones as it is really cool toned and on dark skin it may look ashy. I like it but don't love it nor do I love that Mac have reduced the size of the MSF's but the price has remained the same..not cool dudes not cool at all.

Pearl is again a light toned MSF and again will be best suited as a highlighter on the whole however if you own a small blush brush the center can be used as a bronzer. Pearl is a light beige almost flesh toned with a deep bronze center. I feel this is a little warmer in tone than Crystal Pink and will suit a larger variety of skin tones. Again it is soft with no traces of glitter just fine shimmer. It really is a beautiful highlighter and would be a great addition to any ones make up bag.

Now a few people have said that they really dislike the Lush Amber lipstick but I personally find it very flattering. I think the main problem is it wont show up on those who have pigmented lips but I was not blessed in that department so it shows up quite nicely on me. Lush Amber is a lustre formula and is a light beige nude that like most Mac nude lipsticks it leans yellow. If you are looking for a nice nude lipstick I highly suggest going into Mac and swatching this shade as you may just be pleasantly surprised!

The winner of the Mac £50/$50 voucher is Jade whom I have emailed this morning, you have 48 hours to reply or I will re-draw the giveaway. Thanks to all that entered.

I wasn't planning on getting anything from this collection, but now I want what you have. They are perfect summer colors. The lipstick looks pretty too, don't think it will show up on me, but pretty.

I got your email, I will reply back today or either tomorrow.
