Mac Fashion Flower Haul
I say haul but it's probably not. Today at 5.40pm my first half of my HUGE Mac delivery showed up, normally i'm not one to grumble about delivery times but when you pay close to £7 for it all to get to you the next day, you kinda expect it to not half of it! I blame DHL personally anyways on to the goodies.....
After all the hype from youtube and various American blogs I caved and bought Light Sunshine Beauty Powder and i've got to say i'm majorly disapointed, its far too light! I can tell just by looking at it it will turn ashy grey on my skin or just simply not show up, so I haven't bothered to swatch it as I'm returning it. On the plus side the flower imprint is really pretty.
Bows and Curtseys eyeshadow is my kind of shade, a deep metallic hunter green that can add a little twist to a smokey eye. It is very similar to Bourjois Noir Emeraude eyeshadow and it would be a great dupe ( I will add up a comparrison a little later tonight).
Bows and Curtseys is average pigmentation wise but its in no way chalky and would be really lovely if you are into foiling eyeshadows. It is a really pretty colour and I can see it complimenting most eye colours.
I picked up three out of the four lipsticks from this collection, I passed on Summer Shower as I have no need nor desire for a teal blue lipstick.
Ever Hip is honestly such a beautiful shade and I'm so glad I got a back up now that it has sold out. Ever Hip is a creamsheen formula and is a lovely bright creamy yellow based coral. I personally feel you'll be hard pushed to find a skin tone this shade doesn't suit. I don't have anything similar in shade to suggest a dupe but Mac do say its similar to Vegas Volt ( it isn't Vegas Volt is far more red based and a whole lot deeper in tone).
Mlle...umm do you know who Claudia Winkleman is? Well this is the sort of shade she sports all the time. Mlle is a whitened pink and is a glaze formula, I'm surprised at how pigmented it is considering it is a glaze. Its a funny shade you'll either love it or hate it, I'm the latter its really not flattering on me at all. The closest dupe I can think of is Barry M's Baby Pink Lip Paint and perhaps NYX's Strawberry Milk.
Growing Trend is basically a less glossy version of Mac's Creme d'Nude both are light nude shades that lean slightly yellow and both are shades that I simply can't pull off! Growing Trend looks like I have concealer on my lips and for that reason I shall not be wearing it EVER! I don't want to look like one of those chain smoking neds(chavs if you aren't Scottish) with the orange faces, white necks that insist on offending my eyes with as much skin on show as possible!
Anyways that is my little Fashion Flower Haul did you pick up anything? Or are you kicking yourself hard now that you've missed out on Ever Hip TWICE!!! Tut tut.
