Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Creams

I saw these in Superdrug, I say saw really I glimpsed them as no word of a lie there was a huddle of women and young girls all grouped around the Collection 2000 stand ohh'ing and ahh'ing. Me being the nosy bugger that I am just had to find out what was at the root of noises usually reserved for a newborn bambino.

The object of such affections was no other than Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Creams by the time I had fought into the fold there was not much of a choice colour wise but I did pick up Fairy Cake (coral) and Angel Delight (beige).

These retail at £2.99 each for 5mls of product but Superdrug have a deal on at the moment two for £4.99. The concept behind these is to provide a matte looking lip while being muted and moisturising. I have to say these don't disappoint they do deliver a matte looking lip and somehow make the lips look pillowy step aside Angelina Jolie there's some new pillow lipped chica's on the block now! Most matte lip products have a tendency to be a little on the drying side but not this one, you can actually feel the moisturising affects as soon as you apply the lip cream.

The lip creams come in a little tube and have a bog standard doe foot applicator which works really well with the thick formula of the product. The colours are muted but quite pigmented, I find the best way to apply these is to stick to the less is more approach and build the colour as you go. The product itself has no scent and lasts for up to 6hours without any touch ups.

The Cream Puff Lip Creams are a great little buy especially for those who love the idea of a matte lip but don't want any of the dryness that is all to often associated with matte products. If you are looking for a long lasting product that is muted you really can't go wrong with these little gems. I really rate these and can't wait to pick up the other two shades.

Have you tried these yet? What are your thoughts on them?

  9. I seem to be the dupe finder with my yesterday's comment and with the one I'm about to post but... oh, well!
doesn't this look like the soft matte lip cream by nyx? I think it's the same concept! People in Spain are saying wonderful things about the nyx ones and by your swatches, I can say that they look great on you!

    xx

  10. when u buy the other 2 shades are you gonna "review" those aswell? im just asking cause im really interested in seeing the "powder puff" .. they stopped selling collection 2000 in The Netherlands since like 2005 -_- i always use my Mac lip-erase for my nude lip but thats very drying.. so if that is a good nude matt coler i might have to roam around on ebay in hopes to get ma hands on one lol xxx
