Yep thats the sounds that bees and other annoying flying creatures make no offense if you keep bees as pets, I once put a wasp in a jar opened it a little later and the bugger stung me! Anyways I digress I finally got around to trying out a few Burts Bees products yep i'm late to the party ( I was going to say picnic there) yet again!
What put me off trying Burts Bees was to frank the mention of umm Bees with Bees I associate honey and man do I hate honey, the smell, the taste, the texture just yuck! Luckily Burts Bee lip shimmers smell more minty than anything else and are made from 100% natural ingredients so they are suitable for the most sensitive of skins (yes I know that no one deems their lips as skin but they are).
I bought the shades Carmel and Watermelon and thought they would smell like their namesakes but nope both smell minty and fresh. I'm in no way a fan of glitter so I can gladly report that yes these technically have a small amount of shimmer present in the balm but there is no gritty feel at all! The overall effect really is just a little hint of colour with a glossy finish essentially just a tinted lip balm.
Carmel is a light brown shade (no surprises there eh) and is really flattering, I want to say its an unusual shade as I haven't came across too many nude tinted lipbalms, have you?
When you think of the shade Watermelon you instantly think of a bright pink but Burts Bees Watermelon is more of a pinky purple shade, I liken it to a really sheer version of Mac's Up the Amp.
I've really enjoyed using these as not only do they deliver light hint of colour but they are really moisturising too not to mention that they are 100% natural. I bought both of these from Apothica.com you can also get them from Boots and Burts Bees websites.
Have you tried any of these?

I like Bert's Bees as well, although I have never tried the lip shimmers this post makes me want to run out and get some ASAP.
