I really need to stop quoting Jay-Z! I was sent the Jergens Aloe and Cucumber soothing body moisturiser to road test about two weeks ago and thought now would be the time to share my findings.
First things first (obviously I mean they wouldn't come second if they were first would they?) it smells amazing! I hate cucumbers to eat (is it fruit or a veg? is it meant to be a long apple? I don't get them at all) but some how they translate into the most wonderful scent in beauty products and the aloe scent compliments it beautifully too! I'm sure a few reading will be like the scent of a body moisturiser is your main priority? Well yes! If its going to be on me all day I don't want to smell like a down and out.
Importantly it contains 94% natural ingredients which is always a good thing seeing as all a whole bunch of chemicals are linked to all sorts of crazy diseases and what not! Also I personally find anything that is full of natural ingredients tends to be better suited to my sensitive skin.
Now on to how it preforms. The bottle its self is a huge 200mls and a little of this moisturiser goes a long long way. It is more like a body lotion opposed to it being a body butter meaning constancy wise it is a little watery but nothing unbearable. It soaks in fairly quickly and does what it says on the tin (ahem squeezey bottle) soothes and calms skin while moisturising. After two weeks or so I can safely say my skin is a whole lot softer than before. I think this would be great to take away on holiday as a substitute for an after sun though I wouldn't use it if you have been silly and let yourself burn!
The above product/s was sent for reviewing purposes, I was in no way compensated for my review. Just because the item/s were not purchased by me does not mean my opinion of said item/s was in any way swayed. 100% honest opinion and review as always!
I am always tempted by Jergens moisturisers but I have so many to finish first!!
